Individual & pack walks & basic training: heel, control, loose-lead, recall, early puppy training.

15/10/2026

The cooler autumn days have been perfect for dog walks. Now we just need the wasps to buzz off 🐾

Some of this week's gang 🐾

24/09/2026

The weather was a mixed bag this week, but the dogs didn't even notice. Highlights included Wally jumping for joy on a pack walk with our three, and Monty going off lead (and coming back!) 🐾🐾🐾

18/09/2026

Meet new trainee puppies Harvey the Cockapoo and Monty the Labrador. Regulars Marley, Monty, Baillie, Charlie and Bodhi enjoyed walks in the sunshine. Tigger had a mixed bag on his three walks, but enjoyed sniffing in the woods 🐾

*Wasp warning* ⚠️ Wasps become particularly aggressive in September - which we've just found out the hard way - so please be careful where you walk your dogs. Both incidents this week happened in woodlands and near hedgerows with two dogs and one human stung. Apparently wasps are worse in September because their colonies reach peak size and they must hunt for sugar outside their nests as the sugar inside declines. Other than the two wasp incidents, the dogs all enjoyed their walks in the cooler weather. At home Bandit continues to settle in well as part of the pack with Shanti and Amba 🐾

In an exciting week for the dogs, Big Baillie the Bernese got off lead for the first time, Charlie the Black Lab honed his ball catching skills and Bodhi the Tibetan Terrier met a deaf French Bulldog 🐾

27/08/2026

Welcome to Tigger the Greyhound, Monty the Yellow Lab pup and Charlie the Black Lab. Regular Wally visited the Dunglass Estate on his walk, and we met a lovely Chocolate Lab from Belgium called Toffee who was here on her holidays. Monty the Pointer wanted a second walk (as always!), and Bodhi the Tibetan Terrier got his paws wet. Rogue picked a new route, Bandit practiced pointing and Murdock enjoyed a woodland walk 🐾

20/08/2026

The fields have been harvested and the dogs are delighted. Bodhi was interested but it was raining, so we stayed under cover in the woods.Wally enjoyed the bog, Monty went on his favourite walk through the Fairy Glen in Oldhamstocks and Marley pottered around Dunbar 🐾

16/08/2026

Bandit won Most Handsome Boy at the Oldhamstocks Flower Show yesterday. Well, he actually came second, but the winner was a female Labrador, making him the number one male in the competition! He had a grand time meeting all the other dogs and was especially happy to see his friend Charlie the Black Lab 🐾 Thanks Jane Perring for taking the photo of us 🐾

We've been away on holiday in Somerset but normal service has resumed! Shanti, Amba and Bandit stayed with our mentor in the Borders and were delighted to see us back. Bandit has settled in really well as part of the pack and his training is coming on really well. His recall is excellent. Elsewhere, Charlie was delighted to be out with Monty, who was oblivious 😂, Bodhi enjoyed a sniffing walk in the woods, and Rogue cooled down in the burn 🐾
