Sniff Sniff 🐾🌺
For some it can be worrying & an overwhelming experience. A few examples of what this could look like - zig zagging on lead, not wanting to move , hiding in a corner, panting, dribbling , startled by noises and whining.
It’s our duty to help support those every paw at a time to gain some familiarity in their surroundings.
Looking at triggers and knowing the dog’s threshold as an individual really helps us as humans to know what we can implement to help them through their journey.
Sometimes our canine friends can be too overwhelmed they can’t sniff, they can’t loose lead walk or respond to basic training. With patience , understanding and exploration of training methods and ideas we can slowly but surely see results!
This chap here is a great example and I was able to capture an amazing shot of him sniffing and really embracing a sniff of some plants!
It may be little or soemthing “normal” but for him it was a huge achievement !
Training is a journey and with attention to detail we can really help these pooches to prepare them for the next steps.
Keep going , keep trying.. every little biscuit and “good boy” helps those who need it most 💛
