We had the pleasure of meeting Betty, a beautiful 10-year-old Sulcata tortoise, who came in for her microchip today! 🐢💚

At an impressive 19 kg, Betty certainly made an impression! She’s still got plenty of growing to do, too — the Sulcata tortoise (African spurred tortoise) is one of the largest tortoise species in the world.

📏 Adult size: Around 60–80 cm (24–32 in) long
⚖️ Adult weight: Commonly 36–70 kg (80–155 lb)

It was an absolute pleasure meeting this wonderful girl! 🐢✨

For many of us, our pets are so much more than animals — they are family, companions, confidants, and a precious part of our everyday lives. Their paw prints remain forever on our hearts, even when they are no longer by our side.

🍎 Healthy fruits rabbits can eat

Fruit should be a small treat, because rabbits need mostly hay and leafy greens.

* 🍎 Apple — remove the seeds and core
* 🍌 Banana — a very small amount because it is high in sugar
* 🍓 Strawberries
* 🫐 Blueberries
* 🍇 Grapes — only a few
* 🍐 Pear — remove the seeds
* 🍑 Peach — remove the stone
* 🍉 Watermelon — remove seeds and rind
* 🥝 Kiwi
* 🍍 Pineapple — small amounts
* 🍊 Orange — remove the peel and seeds
