Happy new year guys 🫶🏻
It’s been ages since I posted on here!
I’ve taken a much needed break away from instagram/the business, the shop will be back open soon, but only temporarily I’m afraid - and with that being said, I have a sad update for you -
I’ve watched small businesses closing down over the last couple of years, and my heart ached for the owners who had undoubtedly put in so much love, energy and time into what their small business became.
I didn’t think I’d get to the point when I was wondering if it was time to let my business go, when it feels like such a big part of my life and day to day routines.
Last year was really challenging for most small businesses, mine included. My profits were over 80% less than the previous year which on paper makes this business no longer viable.
I’m painfully torn between closing entirely and letting go of this creative outlet that has meant so much to me, or struggling on with a business that no longer covers costs and time.
So as much as it hurts, I’ve made the choice to close this chapter of Peaches Place, I’ll be open until March/April time - so I can work through the remaining fabric I have.
I hope that I might have it in me to come back to Peaches Place one day, with a fresh outlook and oodles of creativity as I did a couple of years ago, but for now it’s time for me to rest and release myself of the pressure of running a small business.
I’ll be forever grateful for all of the love and support of this business, all the friends I’ve made along the way. I’ll look back on this time and think of all the dogs I’ve sewn toys for, all the happy faces and wagging tails in the videos you guys send me.
I’m hugely grateful to my reps over the years for believing in me and supporting this business, some from the very very start! You’re all amazing 🩷
Love Immy, Peaches & Hazel 🫶🏻
