Two kittens from completely different areas taken away from very vulnerable situations.
Meet Claud and Alice, foster bro and sis bonded and pretty much inseparable, met by chance coming from completely different places but meeting each other in the foster home.

They were best friends from the moment they met and when they had been neutered they were allowed to roam freely together and soon became bonded. A true unit that were clearly meant to be together.

We still can't believe that they don't have a home yet 🤷🏻
Both neutered, chipped, vaccinated and up to date with flea and worm treatment.

Please help us find a home

A quiet home would be ideal for these.
Although Alice is very confident and brave, little Claud is still wary of noisy situations. He is still carrying some trauma but he is absolutely loving one you gain his trust.

It's a shame cat rescue is not all sunshine, roses, cat purrs and cuddles.

The outbreak of spring kittens will soon be upon us and the waiting list for a rescue space will be 6 months or more for someone who has a genuine reason for wanting to rehome their cat.

All we want to do is help and slow down the over run population of helpless kittens that get born in gardens, under a hedge, under a shed or in a scrap car boot or under a pallet in a pile of wood.
We see it, it happens, kittens die, kittens born with FIV and birth defects struggling to survive.

The sound of female cats yowling at night times drawing the attention of all the local Tom cats that fight over their mate. The spreading of diseases that kill cats slowly, the injuries they get and the bad reputation that all cats get when seen spraying and stinking to mark out their territory.

If everyone took responsibility for their cats then cat rescues could free up some spaces, cat rescuers could take a break.
Unfortunately though, cat rescues are flat out busy, rescue people are on the brink of mental breakdown and yet stray cats are lurking around every corner of every suburb of every town and city.

Un neutered cats make unwanted kittens. Fact !

Wingerworth area assuming stray. No chip and not neutered!
Been around for over 6 months now belied to be lost or abandoned.
Recently seen with an injury so we are making plans to get him somewhere safe and warm and to a vet.
Anyone know if he has a home

Some positive news and a short story of Ki Ki.

This little lad I called Ki Ki went to his fabulous foster home last night after having a full health check and bloods.
I'm absolutely delighted to inform you that the results were good and his suspicious lump is nothing to worry about. However he does need dental work, poor lad only has a few teeth left.
Apparently he has settled into his foster house and absolutely loves it.
Thank you again to the Sheffield Cat Shelter for taking him on and giving him this opportunity.

We will probably never know the truth of why this lovely old cat became homeless but after doing some research and asking a few folks we believe his owner had difficulties and fled back to their original city 100s of miles away from Chesterfield.

Even though it has taken so long for him to get picked up I am thankful to the person in the area who kept him fed and gave him something to sleep on in the outbuilding to his property.
The poor cat probably spent last winter without shelter and half this winter in the outhouse.

Little Ki Ki was so grateful and loving whilst in my care, he loved the heated cat pen and play / cuddle times. So did I, he was a delightful character to be with.
Now yet another step closer to finding his forever home.

This senior gent has made steps to starting a new life today.
Thanks again to Sheffield Cat Shelter for taking him on, getting him fully vet checked and into a nice warm house where he will be fostered untill he finds his forever home.
It was an absolute pleasure having you here little man. I miss you already ❤️🐾😼😊

Today he had his second vaccination and a health check consultation
To think how he was when he first came here in contrast to how is now is just amazing
He is a real young gent and will soon be going to his new home with his foster sister Alice.
Well done Claud you are a true rescue example enough to make anyone proud 🙏🏻❤️🐾😼
