🐾 Pain in dogs is complex — and it’s not always easy to spot. 🐾
Dogs are incredibly good at hiding pain. They may not cry, limp or show the obvious signs we often associate with discomfort. Instead, pain can show up as subtle changes in behaviour, movement, sleep, appetite, confidence or a reluctance to do things they once enjoyed.
💚 Every dog’s pain experience is unique.
Pain is influenced by a whole range of factors, including physical health, previous experiences, emotional state, environment and daily activities. All of these can influence how a dog experiences pain, how they behave and how they respond to treatment.
This can make pain challenging to identify and understand — but it’s something we take seriously at Peak Edge Canine Rehabilitation.
🐶 We’re skilled in looking beyond the obvious signs, assessing the whole dog and helping to piece together the factors that may be contributing to their discomfort.
Working in partnership with your vet, we can help develop a tailored rehabilitation approach to support pain management, improve comfort and mobility, and help your dog get back to enjoying life as much as possible.
Because helping a dog feel better starts with understanding their experience of pain. 💚
📩 If you’ve noticed changes in your dog’s movement, behaviour or willingness to do everyday activities, get in touch. Sometimes the smallest changes can tell us the most.
