Pet sitting in the comfort of your own home, when your away and leave, our pets don’t understand why, they just feel confused and stressed.
Having that guilt as a pet parent , you hate leaving them which is not un-common and more relateable, can be over bearing. Don’t let it stop you from living and experiencing. You can have pets and still enjoy trips and holidays . You just need the right care!
Having someone you trust care for them in their own home adds security and comfort. As a pet sitter I provide 24/7 care and attention to your pets, keeping there usual routine / feeding and walking time at play. This doesn’t create a huge change for your pets . As they are already processing you not been there. This adds some normality to your absence. Over time and discussing with customers they have felt it’s a better option than kennelling your pets. In kennels it’s loud , uncomfortable , cold , wet and there in a new environment they don’t know. it’s not as homely and there are distressed animals who also are unsettled and confused , in some people’s opinions they are calling them “prisons for dogs”
nervous or antisocial dogs really struggle in these environments and that’s why I feel people are swaying more to a pet sitter.
I offer sitting in the owners home, I prefer this and naturally people worry about this as having a stranger in there home can be quite daunting, this is why I offer a free meet before booking to show proof of insurance and cover and mostly so they can find trust in me . As much as the service is for your pets it’s also for the owners , knowing they can enjoy there leave without panicking and worrying.
