Meet the Team – Part 6 👋
Meet Emyr, or Em for short!
Em is the founder of Sandstone Vet Group and a vital part of our extended farm team.
Every two weeks, Em or one of his colleagues visit the farm as part of our routine herd health programme. Not because there’s anything wrong—in fact, quite the opposite! These regular visits allow us to focus on prevention rather than cure, helping us maintain the highest standards of herd health and welfare.
Routine vet visits enable us to monitor the herd closely, identify potential issues before they become bigger problems, improve efficiency, ensure compliance with welfare standards, maximise productivity and, most importantly, keep our girls happy, healthy and thriving.
Of course, when you work with this many animals, the unexpected can sometimes happen. That’s why we’re incredibly grateful to have such a knowledgeable, dedicated and passionate team on hand whenever we need them. Whether it’s helping a cow through a difficult calving, treating an injury, or responding to a late-night emergency, we know we have the very best people by our side—and they’re available 24/7.
The relationship between our farm team and our vets is so important, and we’re lucky to work with professionals who care just as much about our animals as we do.
So, if you spot one of the team sporting a Sandstone gilet or hat around the farm, be sure to say hello! 👋
A huge thank you to Em and the entire Sandstone Vet Group team for everything you do for our herd. We couldn’t do it without you! 💚
