🐾 Breed Spotlight: Border Collies 🖤🤍

Originally bred to work alongside shepherds, these clever, driven dogs are happiest when they have something to think about, explore and get stuck into.

🧠 Brains to match the energy
They’re incredibly intelligent and quick to learn, making training, scent work and problem-solving great ways to keep them entertained.

⚡ Energy & drive
They typically need 2+ hours of exercise a day, plus mental stimulation. Working or high-drive Collies may need even more!

👀 That famous stare
Known as “the eye”, their intense stare comes from their natural herding instincts.

💡 Quick Facts:
• Temperament: Intelligent, loyal, sensitive & focused
• Energy levels: Very high ⚡
• Loves: Running, exploring, training & having a job 🐾
• Important: Learning to settle is just as important as staying active!

Border Collies aren’t for the faint-hearted, but give them the right balance of exercise, enrichment and downtime, and they’re incredible companions 💚🐾

🌳 Ancient woodland with plenty to explore
🚗 Decent-sized car park
🥾 Loads of different paths, so you can make it a shorter stroll or a longer adventure
💦 A little river for dogs to splash in
🌤️ A great spot for warmer days, the woodland provides plenty of shade and keeps the walk feeling cooler
🐾 Plenty of interesting smells to keep those noses busy

We love a walk you can switch up depending on how much time you have, and the dogs love exploring every corner! 🐾💚

🐾 Walk of the week: Leckhampton Hill 🌿

One of our favourite places for a dog adventure! 🐶

📍 We start at Daisy Bank Car Park 2 and make our way up Leckhampton Hill. There are a couple of different routes to reach the top—we love taking the shaded path, but the steeper route gets you up quicker!

🌳 A walk full of variety:
🐾 New sniff spots around every corner
🌿 Woodland, open grassy areas and trails to explore
🪨 Views of the famous Devil’s Chimney
🌄 Beautiful views across Cheltenham

⏱️ Allow around 1–2 hours for a fun adventure.

💾 Save this for your next dog walk!
