This weekend definitely felt like normality is back and how nice was the rain this morning 🥹

The temps come down…I was able to get out on walks…nothing was cancelled or rearranged.

After last week this reset was definitely needed…a relaxed weekend doing what I love.

Now I’m going to go put my dressing gown on because I’m feeling a little chilly 😆

Can’t wait to see everyone next week!! 🤎

This week definitely didn’t go to plan…and it’s been an adjustment!

When you’re used to full days and working to a routine…to having days where I had absolutely nothing to do 🥴…you feel a bit lost!

The heat meant changing everything. Swapping some walks for home visits, bringing others forward to 5am and cancelling the majority altogether.

At the end of the day, the dogs’ wellbeing has to come first, even if it means changing plans.

A huge thank you to all of my clients for being so understanding this week. It makes decisions like this so much easier when everyone has the same priority….and it also saves me having to explain why I won’t walk a dog for an hour in 32°C heat…which still feels like a crazy conversation to have! 😂

I’m really looking forward to getting back out with everyone now the weather’s cooled down a bit.

I’ve missed you all 🥲🐾🤎

One thing a lot of people don’t realise is just how much trust is involved.

When someone chooses a dog walker, they’re not just trusting you with a lead and a set of keys.

One thing I’ve noticed the longer I’ve worked with dogs is that personality matters far more than breed.

Two dogs can be exactly the same breed and be completely different.

It’s one of the reasons I enjoy one to one walks so much. It gives me the chance to get to know each dog properly and tailor things to them as an individual.

Those eyes get me every time 🥹🤎 this beautiful boy melts my heart.

I think calm moments on walks are so important. Dogs don’t need to be constantly stimulated or rushed from one thing to the next…sometimes they just need time to slow down, sniff and watch the world for a minute.
