Pogs is 2 years old!! 💜🐾🎉🥳

I would like to say a big thank you to all of you lovely people for following, liking, sharing and tagging my page, the word of mouth recommendations, the wonderful reviews and the general support you have shown me! 🥰

I have had the pleasure of meeting so many fluffy faces (and their humans!) in the last 2 years and it’s been an amazing journey! 🐾

Pogs is getting busier and busier and I couldn’t be more pleased to be able to continue offering my services to the pets of Calne and beyond! 🐶🐰🐱

These 5 gorgeous girls were all in need of a little nail trim 🐾

It was Winnie’s first nail trim with me and she was a little worried as I had been a few weeks before to clean her ears so I think she was concerned I was back for more! 🤣 She had cuddles from Mum and plenty of treats.💜

Honey has had a few trims with me as she is a very active dog and starts to trip over her feet when her nails get a bit long. She was very wriggly on the first go but has got more used to it with each appointment. She is also a big fan of the treats! 💜

Petal is a very lively and happy little lady who had caught her dew claws previously, causing pain and discomfort. She is a rescue dog and her human was unsure how she would react to a nail trim so she applied a muzzle to be on the safe side! In fact, she was a little star and was a huge fan of the post clip treats and cuddles!! 💜

Chaos is a very calm and placid girly who has slowed down a little now that she is in her older years. This reduction in exercise means that her nails had become a bit overgrown. She enjoyed cuddles with her Mum, treats and lots of lovely ear rubs!! 💜

Ivy was adopted by her new humans last month and is settling in nicely!! She had long black nails and was very foot phobic! 😳
She showed no signs of aggression but was very wriggly and didn’t like to be held for too long. We used the ‘least restraint’ method and she was able to work on her licki mat whilst I gently took care of her feet. 🐾
We took plenty of breaks so that she could wander around and have some mid clip treats! 🤣

I have got very behind with social media recently so thought I’d better get back to it!! 🙈

These 3 beautiful boys have recently had to have some clipper action! 🤣

Rudi, a 6 year old DLH was rehomed to his current human and is a friendly boy but is very worried about being brushed.
This had led to a very heavy build up of matted fur along his back. The mats were unable to be combed out and had to be shaved. He was a bit of a wriggle bottom but showed no signs of aggression at all! 💙
He is a lot more comfortable with his new haircut and can go back to sunning himself in the garden! 💜

Thor is a 2 year old BLH who is a very chilled and placid boy but gets wriggly when the brush comes close!! 🪮
He had some thick, tight mats over his body that were very close to his skin and needed shaving out. Thor was a very good boy and very much enjoyed some licki treats to distract him from the clippers!! 💙

Sam is a 15 year old DLH and a very lovely little dude!! He had no matting at all but he had stopped grooming so much around his bottom which meant he got a bit messy when toileting! 😳. Cats can find it uncomfortable to groom when they are older due to arthritis.
Sam’s human requested a hygiene shave to keep him clean, comfortable and sweet smelling. 🤣
He was a huge fan of dreamies and had a good nibble whilst I worked on cleaning up his bottom. 💜 He also had his talons trimmed! 🐾

Well done boys, I hope you are now a lot more comfortable! 💜🐾

This is Oakley! 💜🐶

He is a 15 week old working cocker spaniel and is an absolute darling! 💙

I am lucky enough to get to visit this little ball of fun and to spend time cuddling, playing and making sure he gets to practice his toilet training skills! 🤣

He loves showing me that he can sit and lay down when there is a treat involved!! He also has a bit of a taste for soil from the garden! 🙈

Meet Salami and Fatboy! 🐈‍⬛

I recently microchipped these 2 youngsters and they were extremely brave! 🥰

Once chipped, they enjoyed some yummy treats whilst I registered their details. They happened to be moving house (with their humans!!) on the same afternoon so it was peace of mind to know that they would be registered to their new address straight away! 💜

Gypsy (12) and Chelsea (9), the pretty Persians! 🐱

These girls are older in years and had not been microchipped as kittens. It wasn’t a legal requirement when they were little! 💜

They have now successfully had their new microchips implanted and their details are registered on the central microchip database. ✅

Well done girls, you were both very brave!! 💜🐾

⭐️ Microchipping is a legal requirement for ALL cats and dogs and is very quick to do. The microchip itself is very small and is inserted under the skin at the back of the neck. Once implanted, I ensure that the pet and owner details are correctly entered on to the central database. There are no forms for the humans to fill out!! 🥰

This lovely girl is 12 year old Daisy. 💜

Daisy recently got diagnosed with a urine infection and required antibiotic treatment twice a day. 💊
Unfortunately, Daisy took great offence to her human trying to give her medication and despite multiple attempts, Daisy was having none of it! 🙈

Daisy showed no signs of aggression at all but seemed to have a super strength when faced with antibiotics. She turned into a very strong, determined little slinky!! 🤣

I used a special wrap to swaddle Daisy which can help to calm cats down, prevent wriggling and immobilizes their legs to stop any scratch attacks! 🐾
This technique allowed me to fully focus on her head, gently opening her mouth and syringing her medication straight in.
She remained stubborn and it took a bit of coaxing to get her to swallow but we got there in the end! 💜

Hopefully her next urine sample will be all clear and she can stay medication free! 🥰

This is 11 year old Maisie who I’ve recently had the pleasure of popping in to feed and fuss whilst her humans were away. 😻

Maisie is a lovely girl who started off quite nervous of me. She showed this by letting out quite a few hisses in my direction!! 🙈
After a few visits, she became very affectionate and really enjoyed some head rubs, bottom scratches and general fuss and attention. She also liked some little brushing sessions. 🥰

Maisie’s absolute favourite thing were the little treat trails I did for her, she would shout at me to ‘hurry up’ when she heard me open the treat box!! 🤣💜

Lovely to spend time with you Maisie! 💜
