πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§πŸΎ UK SURRENDER πŸΎπŸ‡¬πŸ‡§
πŸ“ Currently in emergency foster: Trefriw, Wales LL27
πŸ™ WE NEED TWO β€œC”s FOSTER: CONFIDENT & COMMITTED and COLLIE EXPERIENCE

πŸ”„ UPDATE FROM EMERGENCY FOSTER
We are incredibly grateful to the wonderful emergency foster who stepped in when we were absolutely desperate a few days ago and gave Strike somewhere safe to go. ❀️

But this was only a SHORT-TERM arrangement. Strike is still urgent β€” VERY URGENT β€” and we desperately need to find his next place before kennels become our only option.

After having Strike for several days, his foster has been able to understand him much better. And underneath all those Collie nerves is a dog with enormous potential.

🐾 Meet Strike

Strike is a 4-year-old Border Collie, lower-medium in size.

He is active, intelligent and loves having something to do. His foster tried him in a waist harness for running and Strike absolutely loved it! πŸƒβ€β™‚οΈπŸ• He could be a brilliant companion for an active, Collie-experienced person.

In the house he is fantastic β€” fully housetrained and asks to go outside. Once Strike decides he can trust you, he trusts deeply and becomes incredibly loving and affectionate.

And one thing has become particularly clear: Strike ADORES men. πŸ’™

His current foster is a man, and Strike is incredibly loving with him. With women he can initially be much more wary and has growled on a couple of occasions when introductions weren't managed well. We don't know what happened in his previous life and don't want to make assumptions, but for whatever reason, he currently finds men much easier to trust.

✨ Highlights ✨

β€’ SIZE: Lower-medium – approx. 18 kg
β€’ NEUTERED: No – vet does not recommend rushing neutering
β€’ CHARACTER: Intelligent β€’ Active β€’ Loving once trusting β€’ Loyal β€’ Sensitive
β€’ DOGS: Best with an older, confident, well-balanced dog or as the only dog
β€’ CATS/OTHER ANIMALS: No – reactive to cats and sheep
β€’ CHILDREN: Adult-only home
β€’ HOUSETRAINED: Yes

🐾 What You Need To Know

Strike's foster describes him as a typical sensitive, nervy Collie who can present very strongly when he feels unsure.

He can be reactive towards unfamiliar dogs when out or during initial meetings. With younger or submissive dogs he can become too controlling, barking or growling, while with older, confident dogs he tends to respect their boundaries and will submit.

He needs careful introductions to unfamiliar people too β€” ideally outside, without pressure.

This isn't a dog for someone who will panic at a growl or expect him to trust everybody immediately. Strike communicates when he is uncomfortable and needs a confident, calm person who can read him, give him clear boundaries and help him make better choices.

His foster says:
β€œHe really could be a brilliant dog, but it will take a bit of work.”

And after everything Strike has been through, we believe that too. ❀️

🏑 Ideal Home

COLLIE EXPERIENCE is very important.

Strike needs a confident but kind person who understands sensitive working dogs and is prepared to give him TIME to settle rather than judge him during his first few days.

He needs an active home, a secure private garden, plenty of physical exercise and mental stimulation, and calm, consistent boundaries.

Adult-only. No cats or small animals. A pet-free home may be simplest, although an older, confident and well-balanced dog could potentially be considered following careful introductions.

Most of all, Strike needs STABILITY.

πŸ’” Strike has already escaped being put to sleep and has been moved far too many times. His emergency foster has given him another lifeline β€” but cannot keep him long-term.

Please don't let his next move be into kennels. For an already insecure, highly sensitive Collie, we genuinely fear what another enormous upheaval and kennel environment could do to him.

πŸ™ Please don't offer Strike two days. Offer him the time to trust you.

Somewhere there must be a Collie person who will look at this complicated, loving, clever boy and see not just the things he still needs to learn β€” but the brilliant dog he could become. πŸ’™

🩺 Health Information

Strike is healthy with no known medical conditions. He is not currently neutered; vets have advised against rushing neutering while he remains anxious and unsettled, and this can be reviewed once he is emotionally stable.

πŸ’Œ If you can offer Strike the CONFIDENT & COMMITTED foster home he desperately needs:

πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§πŸ΄σ §σ ’σ ³σ £σ ΄σ ΏπŸΎ SCOTLAND ❗URGENT FOSTER ❗

❀️🐢 STELLA – A BEAUTIFUL GIRL WHO JUST NEEDS COMPANY, LOVE & A DOGGY FRIEND 🐢❀️
πŸ“ Currently located: Stirling, FK9

🌟 RBU, post-adoption support & 4 weeks insurance provided upon adoption (on request). Adoption fee reduced (rehoming) 🌟
😞STELLA IS BACK WITH RESCUE
Sadly, Stella's foster-to-adopt placement hasn't worked out, and we urgently need to find her a new foster home.

In her previous foster home, Stella lived alongside an active, playful and well-balanced dog β€” and she was as good as gold. ❀️ She was happy, playful and settled beautifully.
In her current home she is the only dog, while her family work full-time (from home, but still busy and in separate room), and she is clearly struggling with being alone. She has become increasingly unsettled when her people leave even for another room, whining, jumping up and becoming mouthy. She has also started biting/chewing herself when left.
On lead she can bark and pull excitedly towards them (we think that’s what called lead reactivity due to frustration), but when she was introduced to the family's daughter's dog in a secure space without leads, she was absolutely wonderful with them.
We strongly believe Stella needs another friendly, confident, well-balanced and still playful dog by her side. 🐢❀️

🐾 Meet Stella
Stella is a 2-year-old small-to-lower-medium girl with a naturally bobtail. She is incredibly loving, friendly, affectionate and looking for companionship.

✨ Highlights ✨

β€’ SIZE: Small to lower-medium (40 cm / 12 kg)
β€’ SPAYED: Yes
β€’ CHARACTER: Loving β€’ Friendly β€’ Affectionate β€’ Playful β€’ Devoted
β€’ DOGS: Loves canine company – we are now looking for a home with a calm but still playful resident dog
β€’ CATS: Unknown
β€’ CHILDREN: Dog-savvy older children
β€’ CAR: Travels very well

🐾 More About Stella

Stella loves being close to her people and gives an enormous amount of affection in return. Her family describe her as β€œa very loving, friendly dog” and say the rewards she gives are β€œloyalty, companionship and love.” ❀️

She loves her toys β€” ropes, balls and teddies β€” enjoys her food and loves having space for a good run and zoomies.

She can be sensitive to loud noises and gets very excited around dogs when on lead, barking and pulling to reach them. She will benefit from an experienced handler and some 1-to-1 training to help her become calmer and more confident on walks.

At home she loves companionship and doesn't currently cope well with being left. For this reason, her next foster needs someone who is around most of the time, particularly while she settles.

🏑 Foster Home Needed ASAP β—πŸ™πŸ

We are looking for:

🐢 A friendly, confident, well-balanced and playful resident dog

🏑 A secure private garden with space for zoomies

πŸ‘€ Someone home most of the time initially and able not to separate Stella if WFH

❀️ A stable home prepared to give Stella companionship, routine and reassurance
Ideally we would love to find a foster-to-adopt home, but right now our priority is simply finding Stella the right FOSTER and getting her back into an environment where she can settle again.

πŸ’” Rescue Story

Stella was originally found at the Ukrainian border, believed to have been left behind during the chaos of people fleeing the war.

She has already had far too many changes in her young life. We don't want another unsuitable move β€” we want to get this one right.
πŸ’ž We have already seen the happy, loving Stella who flourishes when she feels secure and has the right canine companion beside her. She is still that same gorgeous girl. ❀️ She just needs us to find the environment where she can be herself again.

Please help us get Stella into the right foster home as soon as possible. πŸ™πŸΎ

🩺 Health Information

Stella is healthy, spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. All dogs are C.Brucella tested before travel (approved laboratory certificate provided).

πŸ’™πŸΆ OSCAR – STEADY, SMART AND EASY TO TRUST πŸΆπŸ’™
πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡¦πŸΎ Give Me A Safe Haven πŸΎπŸ‡ΊπŸ‡¦
🏠 LOOKING FOR LOVING FOSTER-TO-ADOPT HOME
πŸ“ Expected arrival in the UK: SEPTEMBER
🌟 RBU, post-adoption support & 4 weeks free PetPlan insurance provided upon adoption (on request) 🌟

Oscar is a 1,5 years old young upper-medium boy, intelligent, balanced, and quietly affectionate. He has a calm confidence about him β€” present, connected, and happy to stay close without ever becoming demanding πŸ’™

🌟 Highlights

β€’ SIZE: Upper-medium (55 cm / 20 kg)
β€’ NEUTERED: Yes
β€’ CHARACTER: Intelligent β€’ Balanced β€’ Affectionate β€’ Calm β€’ Loyal
β€’ DOGS: Good with females and some males, selective with unfamiliar male dogs
β€’ CATS: Unknown
β€’ CHILDREN: Best with older children (10+)

πŸ’” Rescue Story

Oscar was rescued by a displaced person from the east of Ukraine during the war.

For some time, he and several other dogs were allowed to stay in a temporary place where everyone believed they were finally safe.

But later, it became clear that landlord made plans to remove all the dogs and take them to a quarry β€” a place where they would have been abandoned with no chance to survive.

Oscar was among the dogs taken out before that could happen.

🐾 More About Oscar

Oscar currently lives in an outdoor enclosure and walks well on the lead.

He approaches people openly and calmly, happy to meet and connect.

He is affectionate, but in a very balanced way β€” never pushy, never demanding. He simply enjoys being nearby.

Oscar is active and enjoys walks, movement, and interaction, but he also settles well and doesn’t constantly demand attention.

He is intelligent, emotionally stable, and easy to be around. The kind of dog who naturally fits into everyday life without creating chaos around him.

With dogs, he is excellent with females and gets on perfectly with his brother. But with other male dogs he can occasionally be selective and may grumble if another male challenges him.

🏑 Ideal Home

Oscar could happily live as the only dog or with a friendly female companion.

He would thrive in a home that enjoys walks, companionship, and having a dog included in everyday life without expecting constant entertainment or high intensity.

A calm, not busy , not urban environment but active household would suit him perfectly.

πŸ’ž Oscar is one of those dogs who brings a feeling of steadiness. Smart, people oriented, emotionally balanced β€” a true companion in the best sense of the word.

🩺 Health Information

Oscar is fully healthy, neutered, vaccinated and microchipped.
All dogs are C.Brucella tested before travel (licensed laboratory certificate provided).

πŸ’™πŸΆ JAKE – PLEASE LET THIS MAD CAROUSEL END… HE JUST NEEDS HIS PERSON πŸΆπŸ’™
πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§πŸΎ UK SURRENDER - FOSTER-TO-ADOPT HOME 🏠
πŸ“ Currently located: Telford, Shropshire, TF2
🌟 Reduced adoption fee, RBU, post-adoption support & 4 weeks insurance provided upon adoption (on request) 🌟

πŸ’” Jake is back.

Sometimes I honestly just want to sit and cry. We try so hard β€” accurate descriptions, long conversations before proceeding, settlement materials, practical advice and even behaviourist support β€” and yet some dogs seem to be unbelievably unlucky.

I remember Dexter, our beautiful German Spitz boy, moving from home to home until finally he found his person. And now? They are incredibly happy together. ❀️ That gives me hope that Jake's mad carousel will also stop β€” and that his next home can finally be FOREVER. Current family happy to foster him and help to find him brst match home 🐢🏠

🐾 Meet Jake

Jake is around 2-year-old Patterdale Cross, a small young terrier with a huge amount of love to give.

His current family describe him as "the most loving, affectionate boy." He follows his people around the house, curls up beside them on the sofa and simply wants to be involved in their life.

He is playful and funny, loves chasing games and especially tug-of-war. At home his manners are wonderful β€” he is fully housetrained, settles beautifully and, once secure in his routine, can comfortably stay alone for around 3–4 hours.

✨ Highlights ✨

β€’ SIZE: Small / towards lower-medium
β€’ NEUTERED: Yes
β€’ CHARACTER: Loving β€’ Affectionate β€’ Playful β€’ Clever β€’ People-oriented
β€’ DOGS: Can be the only dog or wist friendly playful female, dog; on walks can become frustrated/reactive towards dogs on lead
β€’ CATS/SMALL PETS: No
β€’ CHILDREN: No young children; teenagers considered

🐾 So Why Is Jake Coming Back?
Jake isn't some terribly difficult dog. His main fault that he is typical terrier β€” and he comes with some very recognisable terrier traits.

His main challenge is lead reactivity on walks. Fast or suddenly moving cars can startle him; he can react to dogs because he wants to get involved and becomes frustrated by the lead, and occasionally he can react to unfamiliar people if they are too close.

This is not how Jake behaves with family in his home. He is loving and trusting with a new family giving just a little time, few hours or day.

His current family have already discovered something important: give Jake SPACE and he is a different dog. ❀️ On quiet walks with a long lead he is happy, listens to "this way" and walks well. At secure private dog fields, where he can relax without triggers around him, they describe him as wonderful and beautifully behaved.

They wrote about Jake: β€œWe have been taking him on walks where there are no other people or dogs around so there are no triggers for him and he is the happiest boy, he listens if we tell him 'this way' and doesn't pull too much on the long lead. We've also taken him to private dog parks where we can let him off the lead and he is wonderful and well behaved. On shorter leads he does pull because he is excited but also a little on edge, but we have been working on this with him on walks.”

They also wrote: β€œHe is okay around most cars, but if they are going fast or pull off a drive it can make him jump. He will react to other dogs on walks as he wants to play and be involved, and gets a little frustrated with the lead stopping him. He can occasionally react to people but is absolutely fine so long as he is at a distance comfortable for him.”

🏑 What Does Jake Actually Need?

RESCUE DOGS NEED STABILITY. Not three days. Not a week followed by the conclusion that "it isn't working."

The scientifically proved 3-3-3 settlement guideline wasn't invented for Jake β€” it reflects how much time any newly rehomed dog may need to decompress, understand a new routine and eventually feel that this really is home.

Jake needs confident people who understand terriers and won't give up because of a few difficult moments on walks. During those important settling weeks, his triggers can simply be managed: quieter walking places and times, plenty of distance, long-line walks, secure fields and gentle redirection while his confidence grows.

A house with a secure garden is essential, ideally in a rural or quieter environment with easy access to open spaces.

Most importantly, he needs people who will give him love, understanding and TIME to settle and feel home.

πŸ’ž Dogs aren't pre-programmed machines.
They have personalities. They have feelings. They need time to learn that a new place is safe and that the people beside them aren't going to disappear again.

We don't believe Jake needs somebody to "fix" him. He needs someone who understands the little terrier standing in front of them, helps him through the things he finds difficult β€” and gives him the greatest gift he has been missing for far too long:

LOVE AND STABILITY. πŸ’™

Please let Jake's next stop finally be HOME. πŸ™πŸΎ
