Group Session Cancelled!!!

With this sideways rain and wind we’re giving today’s group session a miss. I’ve been pi**ed through most of the day! No fun training in this weather, just soggy dogs and muddy paws! ☔️🐾 Not too fussed if you lot get wet but even the dogs are saying NO today 🐾😂
Stay warm and dry, everyone, and we’ll see you at the next session! ❤️🐕

Huge thanks to John, Jax and Ella for holding the fort at Di****ad Dog HQ while I’ve been skiving in Blackburn Hospital. 🙈

And a massive thank you to everyone who’s sent messages, checked in and wished me well, honestly, you lot are bloody lovely. ❤️

I’ll be back to work Tuesday… because apparently I thought I was fu***ng Wonder Woman and decided to attempt working a dog yesterday. 🙄

Turns out I’m not Wonder Woman. I’m just a dick. 🤦🏻‍♀️

Also, nobody tells you that recovering from illness in your mid-50s is NOT the same as bouncing back in your 30s. Your body basically goes, “Nope, f**k off, we’re taking our time.” 🤣

Anyway, lesson learnt. Normal service should resume by Tuesday assuming my body hasn’t filed for divorce by then. 😂🐾 🫶🏼

The next Social Walk is Sunday 18th October 1pm.

These events gets booked up very quickly so payment IS required at the time of booking!

This kind of structured socialisation is vital for helping reactive dogs & owners become more confident, well-adjusted, and better equipped to handle various social situations, which minimises overwhelming experiences that can trigger reactive behavior. There will be 3 trainers on hand to help owners learn effective techniques to manage and support their dog’s behavior.
Booking is essential. £10 per dog and handler, hot chocolate, cakes & treat bag courtesy of Top Dog Treat Box Co. are provided, the route is approximately 3 miles over a few fields with one stile. This walk is shorter than the usual route.

I saw a post recently from someone looking down on a balance trainer (ME🤣) and it got me thinking…

So let’s ask the uncomfortable question:

If using an aversive could save your dog’s life, would you use it?

Or would your principles come before your dog’s safety?

Interesting question, isn’t it? 🤔

I’ll leave that one with you…

P.s. I’ve added a photo of my own amazing Oak looking thoroughly miserable with his Dogtra on 💙🐾
