We've had a guest to stay recently. 🐶 🧳

To make sure everything went smoothly and everyone stayed friends, we followed these simple rules.

It’s Rainbow Bridge Remembrance Day 🌈

Today we remember all of our best friends that have sadly passed away.

Meet Megan & Bee (the spaniels) and Charlie (the schnauzer)
These are the dogs that taught us both about what it means to look after and train a dog and we wouldn’t have gotten into this job if we hadn’t met them! They were the goodest of dogs and we miss them dearly 😭

Why not spend some time today remembering your past pets and thinking about everything they taught you? And please share a photo of them in the comments as we would love to see them too.

In dog training we often get stuck on our end goal, in this case a bath. But we need to remember all the small steps first that set us off in the right direction.
So before we ever tried washing Kiwi we trained her to enjoy spending time in the bath (and to jump in on her own) without the water running. Then we built it up in small steps, first we turned the tap on, then the next session we only washed a small part of her, and so on.
Now she loves a bath, which is handy because she loves getting muddy!

Can your dog settle in busy environments? Imagine the scene, you're on holiday, you've have a good explore and you've sat down to rest your weary legs, but your dog is still tugging at the lead ready to go, sound familiar?

Where you live can influence what you train your dogs. If you live in the countryside you might need to consider wildlife, or if you live in the city you might have to think about increased traffic.

Here in Bristol we have to think about balloons! Every year we have the balloon fiesta with hundreds of hot air balloons flying overhead.

And if you’ve got young puppies now’s the time to get out in the garden and play some games as the balloons fly over. Making those early associations fun!
