Our next 5 week puppy course starts on the 20th of September 🐾🐶

9-10am at Christchurch Infant School in Downend, children are always welcome!

We cover all the basics cues, focus highly on building confidence and trouble shoot lots of problems.

Classes are kept small so we can reslly tailor what we cover and to make sure our pups don’t get too overwhelmed.

Finally some cooler weather 🙌 😔

I always feel really conflicted when the weather is really hot because I actually looove the heat!!
But my dogs, and the business side, not so much 😅

Having said that, the one perk is that it's given me the chance to give my website a complete overhaul!
And it's also made booking for both puppy classes and 1-2-1 sessions much easier.

Great puppy classes are so much more than socialisation:

Ben and Dougal: “Absolutely loved Julia’s 5 week puppy class course and would really recommend it. The classes were a great mix of planned training, and time given to go through any specific questions or challenges we wanted to raise. I am currently looking at creating more resources directed at supporting you and your children around creating a really harmonious relationship especially with puppies!
I would really appreciate any feedback on the sort of things that you find/found the most challenging around your kids and dogs. Things like your children struggling to let your puppy rest/not pick them up but also things like understanding why your puppy might be mouthing etc.
The more answers the better so any comments and ideas much appreciated!

It’s absolutely okay not to know something and it’s absolutely okay to get things wrong. That’s how we learn.

But I love it when families get in touch having already done some research, and I hear things like:

“We want to understand why our dog does this.”

“We understand that ethical training takes time.”

“We don’t want to use tools that could hurt our dog.”

Because these conversations tell me we’re already on the same page. Kindness, understanding and evidence-based training always come first, and that’s the best place to start!
