A wonderful walk with Bella and Luna today. 🐾❤️
I walk these two girls separately, as Bella can be reactive and I don’t want Luna picking up those behaviours. This means each of them gets the individual time and support they need, while we continue building their confidence and skills.
We’ve been working hard on loose lead walking with both girls, but a huge focus has been helping Bella with her reactivity. Every walk, every positive experience, and every little success adds up, and I couldn’t be prouder of how far she has come. 🥰
Today was a real milestone. We passed five dogs during our walk – clearly peak dog walking time! Some dogs we were able to give plenty of space, while others were a little closer than ideal. Throughout it all, Bella remained curious but calm. No barking, no lunging, not even once. Just taking it all in and making good choices. ❤️
To make the day even more special, a lady who often sees me out walking the girls stopped to chat. She commented on how well both Bella and Luna are doing and told me I was doing a great job with them.
That truly meant the world to me. Sometimes you can feel like all the hard work goes unnoticed, but people do see it. And for someone to take the time to say something so kind was incredibly rewarding.
The girls’ progress is what matters most, but moments like that remind me why I love what I do. Seeing their confidence grow and knowing the hard work is paying off makes every step worthwhile. ❤️🐾
I’ve also added a few photos from our garden visits this week. 📸🌿 While the walks are where we do a lot of our training, the garden is a great place for the girls to relax, play, and enjoy some quieter time too. It has been lovely watching their confidence continue to grow both out on walks and at home.
