🏥 Story time 🏥
I’m still not sure I’m comfortable sharing this but here goes…
I’ve obviously been MIA on here for a while… socials were never my strong point!
But more recently, I’ve received a few messages from new and returning customers, wondering where I am 😅
So, a few months ago I was involved in an RTC which resulted in a broken spine. After lying on the tarmac for an hour, I was blue lighted to the nearest A&E, then transferred to a specialist orthopaedic hospital where they kept me immobilised for a few days before fitting a spinal brace. 🩻
After a few days of IV’s, a catheter, a stomach drain and some other internal issues… they got me out of bed and slowly got me moving. With the muscle wastage and the numbness in my left leg, on top of the broken back, it wasn’t easy to say the least! 🥴
2 days after getting home, Topaz decided she wanted the glory, so went running into a bush and came out without a portion of ear! 🙃 One out of hours emergency surgery later and suddenly my partner had two to look after!
We’re 8 weeks post accident now… I’m still in my spinal brace for at least another month, and we’ll just have to see where we go from there! 🤞🏼
But really, I just want to say how beyond grateful I am for my wonderful partner who was thrown into becoming a full time carer overnight. This man is my absolute rock and without him, I wouldn’t have come through those first few weeks with my sanity.
Hold on to your person, and let them know just how much they mean to you. ❤️
