EXTREME WEATHER!!!!

During the recent heatwaves and extremely hot weather we have been having, here at Druids-Wood Dog Boarding we made the decision that we would not be walking any of our boarders instead we chose to keep them indoors from 12 noon to 5pm, sometimes even later BUT during this time they we given ice cube treats or frozen yoghurt as part of our indoors stimulation play. We also had cool mats, water bowls and fans in every room. We kept the house well ventilated and as cool as possible. We felt that if we were cool so we're our wonderful boarders! We felt by keeping them calm and indoors they were better able to regulate their body temperature, it also protected their paws from burns, blisters or even fungal infection which would be extremely painful and by doing this we found that they slept for the most part. So happy boarders all round!!!

Here is some general information...

We are a family run business that offers a home boarding experience for your 🐕. Your 🐕 will live with us in our home and be treated as if they are part of our family whilst staying with us.

We have over 20+ years of experience looking after and caring for 🐕. We have been around them all ours life's from owing them as family pets, working dogs on the land, looking after friends and family 🐕 to breeding and showing at Crufts.

We are happy to follow feeding schedules and to give medication if required. We can offer support if your dog suffers with separation anxiety, is an anxious dog or a reactive dog.

We have a large enclosed garden and access to our own private fields for exercise.

We are fully licensed and insured.

Here at Druids-Wood Dog Boarding, we like to offer a warm and safe environment for your furry companion. Making sure they feel that they are loved and cared for is our main priority. We know if they are happy and content they will return home in a lovely calm manner and slot straight back into there home routine with minimal fuss.
If you are struggling to decide what to do with your furry companion whilst planning your trip away, we understand that they are one of the most important parts of the family and you want to do what you feel will be the best option so that they feel like they have a holiday too. Then why not take a look at what we can offer your dog whilst they are with us - lots of open space to walk (on lead) away from roads, large garden for stimulation play and playtime but mostly a family environment so they feel like they are still at home.
