He came to stay with us for a week and made himself right at home 🐾

As well as enjoying plenty of playtime, he had a little pamper while he was here, leaving him looking and feeling fresh.

He definitely brought his playful personality with him, and we loved every minute of it! 💙

From fluffy and overgrown to fresh, neat and ready for the weekend! I love seeing the difference a good groom can make while keeping her looking like herself.

Something simple that matters: clean equipment for every dog.

I make sure all of my tools and equipment are thoroughly cleaned between dogs, so each one gets a fresh, hygienic set-up.

It’s part of the care I take behind the scenes and an important part of providing a professional service.

Because looking after dogs properly includes the little things too.

Last groom of the day, and what better way to finish than with a puppy groom for Daisy 🐾

Think short-haired dogs don’t shed much? Think again.

The reality of short-haired breeds? They shed too.

Short coats can give the impression that there’ll be less hair around the house, but that isn’t necessarily the case.

Dogs with short coats still shed old hairs as part of their normal hair cycle. And those short, stiff hairs can sometimes be even more noticeable because they seem to stick to everything!

Regular brushing can help remove loose hair before it ends up on your sofa, clothes and floors. It also gives you a chance to check your dog’s skin and coat regularly.

So if you’re considering a short-haired breed because you think they’ll be low-shed, it’s worth knowing that short hair doesn’t automatically mean less hair.

If you’d like advice on the right grooming routine for your dog’s coat, get in touch.

🐾 A LITTLE INTRODUCTION… BEHIND LOKI’S LOUNGE 🐾

I thought it was about time I introduced myself properly! 👋🏼

If you’re new here, I’m the face behind Loki’s Lounge Dog Grooming a small, 1:1 home based grooming salon where I get to spend my days doing what I love… making dogs feel (and look!) amazing. 🐶❤️

👉🏼 SWIPE THROUGH TO GET TO KNOW LOKI’S LOUNGE A LITTLE BETTER…

📸 1 — Me & my husky 🐺
This is me! I absolutely love dogs and feel incredibly lucky to have turned that love into my own business. Every dog that walks through my door gets treated as an individual, with patience, care and plenty of fuss.

📸 2 — My Grooming Salon ✂️🐾
Loki’s Lounge is a calm, quiet and completely 1:1 environment. No busy salon, no rows of barking dogs — just a relaxed space where your dog can feel comfortable and receive my full attention.

📸 3 — The Pawdinary 🧴✨
One of the professional ranges I love using! I’m always looking for quality products that help me achieve the best results while keeping your dog’s coat and skin happy.

📸 4 — Toys 🧸🐶
Because grooming shouldn’t just be about the groom! I like having toys around to help dogs settle, relax and have a little fun during their visit. ❤️

📸 5 — A Little Extra Comfort 🛏️
If I have more than one dog from the same household, I can set up a cosy bed so they can relax together between their grooms. I want every dog to feel like they’re at home. 🥰

Most importantly, I want Loki’s Lounge to be somewhere both you and your dog feel comfortable. ❤️

Thank you to every single person who has supported my little business so far. Whether you’ve booked, recommended me, shared a post or simply followed along it genuinely means so much. 🐾

.the.cockapoo first puppy groom 🐾

How handsome is this boy? 💙

His first groom is all about keeping things calm, positive and age-appropriate, helping him become comfortable with the sights, sounds and sensations of grooming.

He was such a good boy for his first visit, and I’m looking forward to watching his confidence grow with every groom.

Well done, Hubert! ✂️🐶

If your puppy is coming up to their first groom, get in touch to find out how I can make their introduction to grooming a positive experience.
