You might not like this, but this is only HALF of the hair that came out during today’s deshed! 😳

I had to have a bit of fun and turn it into a dog shape, but it really shows just how much loose coat some dogs carry around.

Regular deshedding isn’t just about reducing the amount of hair around your home. It helps remove dead coat, allows air to circulate through the fur, supports healthy skin, and can help your dog stay more comfortable as the weather warms up.

I’ve been grooming Rufus for a few months now, and it’s been incredible to see how far he’s come since his first visit.

When Rufus first came to me, he was a very nervous boy who spent his appointments shaking and unsure of his surroundings. Fast forward to today, and he happily runs through the door, settles in, and is comfortable staying with me.

Building trust takes time, patience, and understanding, which is why moments like this mean so much. Seeing a dog grow in confidence and feel safe during their grooming appointments is one of the most rewarding parts of my job.

I’m so proud of Rufus and everything he’s achieved. Helping dogs feel comfortable, relaxed, and confident is exactly why I love what I do.

Cuteness overload! 🐾

This beautiful 16-week-old Samoyed puppy came in for his very first groom today, and he was an absolute star.

A puppy’s first grooming experience is all about building confidence and creating positive associations with being handled, brushed, bathed and dried. Taking things at their pace helps set them up for a lifetime of stress-free grooming appointments.

He took everything in his stride, enjoyed plenty of reassurance along the way, and left looking and feeling fantastic.

Starting grooming from a young age can help puppies become comfortable with the sights, sounds and sensations they’ll experience throughout their lives.

What a bank holiday weekend it’s been! 🐾

I’ve had the pleasure of grooming so many lovely dogs over the past few days, from full grooms and tidy-ups to de-sheds and pamper sessions. It’s been a busy one, but seeing fresh coats, wagging tails, and happy faces makes it all worthwhile.

Before your next beach trip with your dog, read this 👀

Salt water and sand might make for a brilliant day out, but they can really dry the coat out and cause tangles surprisingly quickly. A proper rinse and dry afterwards helps prevent knots, irritation, and that rough, brittle coat feeling that often shows up a day or two later.

Dogs with longer or double coats tend to hold onto sand and salt much more than people realise, especially around the legs, chest, tail, and behind the ears.

If your dog’s coat is prone to matting, booking in for a wash after beach adventures can make grooming much easier and far more comfortable for them.

Three Cockapoos in today, all completely different sizes and coats ✂️🐾

It’s always a good reminder that no two Cockapoos are the same. From soft fleece coats to thicker curls, every dog needs a groom that suits their individual coat type, lifestyle, and comfort.

Regular grooming helps prevent matting, keeps the coat manageable, and gives us chance to check over skin, ears, nails, and overall condition too.

These three were all lovely in their own way and left looking fresh, comfortable, and ready for plenty of cuddles at home 🐶

I’ve been working with Dexter for over 6 months now, and the change in him has been incredible.

When he first came to me, I couldn’t even finish a full groom. He found the process overwhelming and needed a lot of space and patience to feel safe.

Fast forward to now, and he allows me to complete his grooms calmly… and even stays for a bit of playtime afterwards.

Building trust like this doesn’t happen overnight. It’s about going at the dog’s pace, reading their body language, and making each visit a positive experience.

Seeing dogs like Dexter grow in confidence is one of the most rewarding parts of my job.
