📅 Availability Update – Tommy Moon Pet Services 🐾

Just a quick update. We’ll be taking a short break and will be closed from 11th May to 7th June, reopening on 8th June 2026.

During this time we won’t be able to take bookings or respond to enquiries, so if you’re looking to arrange pet care for June or early July, please get in touch before 11th May and we’ll do our best to get you booked in.

🌿 Summer months – filling up quickly, so early booking is recommended

📍 Service Area Update
We cover Alveley village and surrounding areas including Quatt and Wootton. However, due to increased fuel costs, we are no longer able to take on new bookings in Bridgnorth. All existing bookings and commitments in that area will, of course, be honoured.

If you’re planning ahead, especially for the summer months, we’d recommend booking early to avoid disappointment.

Breed Spotlight: Cavalier King Charles Spaniel 👑🐾
One of my most charming little companions is a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and it’s not hard to see why people fall in love with them! 💕

Cavaliers are known for their soulful eyes, silky coats, and sweet-natured temperament. They’re gentle, affectionate, and happiest when they’re snuggled up by your side (or preferably on your lap!). 🛋️

Don’t be fooled by their regal name, while they love a comfy sofa, they’re also playful and enjoy a good stroll or game of fetch in the garden.

Looking after pets like this lovely spaniel is such a joy, making sure they feel loved and cared for while their humans are away. 🐶💖

✨ Breed Spotlight: Bichon Frise ✨

One of my regular pet sits is an adorable Bichon Frise and it’s easy to see why this breed is so loved! 💕

Bichons are known for their fluffy white coats, happy-go-lucky personalities and love of people. They’re playful, affectionate and always up for being your little shadow. Don’t let the cloud-like curls fool you, they’ve got plenty of energy and a big personality packed into a small body!

I love caring for the cats and dog in my charge and making sure they get the love, playtime and attention they deserves while their family is away. 🐶💖

Choosing a pet sitter to stay in your home, especially overnight, can feel like a big step if you’ve never used one before. Letting someone into your space and trusting them with your much-loved pets isn’t something people take lightly, and rightly so. However, home-based pet sitting can be one of the gentlest, least stressful options for animals, keeping their routines, surroundings and comforts exactly the same while you’re away.

I’ve been pet sitting in people’s homes for nearly two years, focusing on building trust with the animals, keeping to their normal routines and leaving as small a footprint as possible. My goal is always the same: happy pets, a settled home and owners who can relax knowing everything is being looked after.

For many first-time clients, the biggest questions tend to be: Will my pets be comfortable with someone new? How will I know they’re OK? What will the house be like when I get back?
The answer lies in communication, consistency and genuinely caring for the animals as if they were my own.

The feedback I receive often reflects this. A recent family I sat for shared:

“As with our first experience, Christine is an excellent cat sitter. She’s organised, communicates brilliantly and adapted when dates changed. Her attention to detail with each of our five cats was all I could wish for. I know they’re in safe hands and have no hesitation in recommending her.”

Another added:

“We were away almost three weeks and I missed my boys very much. Christine sent daily updates and photos which meant everything. I could see they were being given all the love and attention we would give them. The house was spotlessly clean on our return.”

And one more:

“Christine is simply the best pet sitter. She really cared about the animals, paid attention to every detail and reassured us with regular messages. The house was immaculate when we got home and we’re delighted she’s returning again in a couple of months.”

For anyone who has never tried in-home or overnight pet sitting, it can make all the difference, familiar surroundings for your pets, real peace of mind for you, and the comfort of knowing everything at home is just as you left it.
