⚠️MICROCHIP YOUR PETS⚠️

This morning I went out to scan a stray that had been hanging around the finders address for 6 days & wouldn't leave. They had previously seen him around a year ago.

He had a chip and through the vets, we were able to get in touch with his owners

This boy had been missing for TWO YEARS.

It is only because the kind people who found him called scan angels, because he was microchipped and registered with up to date details, that we were able to reunite him with his family.

An amazing happy ending , and a reminder how important microchips are!!

Cat spey £100, Cat castrate £65, less if your pet is on our health care plan.

Includes a pre-neuter examination with a nurse, surgery, pain relief to come home with and an elizabethan collar to prevent wound interference during the recovery phase. Cats can be considered for surgery from 16 weeks old.

Ring 01132 399930 to book or whatsapp us on 07445 037092.

Spaces are limited so bookings are subject to availability - Leeds Kirkstall Vets for Pets only. Deposit of £50 payable at time of booking and refundable with cancellation of 24 hour notice. Balance to be paid on collection of your pet on the day of surgery. We can assist with Klarna applications.

Tallulah ✨

Tallulah was brought in urgently on Thursday night. She had been locked in a property alone for a week, before being shut out by the landlord.
I knew I had to get this girl in ASAP and it's a good job I did...

Last night Tallulah gave birth.
So far mum and her 4 babies are doing well, Ill be monitoring them closely and hoping her ordeal hasn't taken too much of a toll.

This girl is so resilient and is taking everything in her stride, and has just the sweetest personality 🥺

She is with me temporarily, awaiting space with the amazing Yorkshire Cat Rescue.

I am collecting donations for Yorkshire cat rescue, if you would like to donate food or litter please message me and I will arrange this!

You can also donate directly to YCR here 🙏🏼

If you're thinking of getting into animal rescue, here's something you need to know:

You need to build armor, not just for the hard work, but for the people.

You’ll need more than compassion. You’ll need resilience. You’ll need to remind yourself daily why you started, because the world will test you.

People will cheer you on when you post a happy rescue story. But when you say no, because your rescue is full, your funds are low, or your team is exhausted, those same voices will criticize you.

They’ll forget the animals you saved and focus on the one you couldn’t take.

Don’t let it change your heart.

Some people will praise your care, your process, your kindness, until they want to surrender a pet, and you ask questions or try to help them work through it. Suddenly, you’re the worst person for them.

That’s part of the job.

You’ll lose relationships. Some friends won’t understand why you fight for animal rights. Others will be cold to you when you’re being too dramatic for them after spending the night with a dying rescue.

Let them go.

People will call you every hour, message you at 2am, expect you to be available around the clock. You will get calls and messages you cannot humanly keep up with. And when you finally pause to breathe, they’ll say you’re fake, you don’t care.

It’ll sting, but keep breathing anyway.

Other rescuers will criticize how you operate, even if they’ve never set foot in your rescue. Some will help. Others will just talk.

Focus on the work, not the noise.

You’ll see things you can’t unsee. You’ll witness cruelty. And sometimes, no matter how fast you get there or how much you spend, you’ll still lose the animal.

Those are the nights you’ll sit and cry alone, and no one knows that.

But even in that pain, you’ll keep going.
Because despite all of it, the judgment, the burnout, the loss… the work matters.

Every life saved is a reason to continue.

Rescue is beautiful, heartbreaking, and unforgiving. But if you’re in it for the right reasons, you’ll find strength in the heartbreak and purpose in the pain.

Just don’t lose yourself in the process.

Felt like this was much needed right now. For all my rescue friends struggling and for everyone who wonders why I don’t respond, why I don’t answer your calls, why I forget things, why I miss or cancel appointments… it’s because of this.

Meet Barry. A gent turned up at one of our Fosterer’s to say the rest of this litter had been given to people and the gent stepped in as this one was then at risk. We appreciate his help and getting this kitten to safety.

The message still isn’t getting out there. Neuter your cats the world has too many unwanted cats and kittens. Rescues are bursting at the seams. We are full but emergency ones like this little fella keep on coming. Thank you to Anna who has taken this little one in for us. He’s been checked over by the vets and he’s around 8 weeks he’s had a flea and wormer too.

Safe now little one xx

🥰Damon is looking for his forever home🥰

Little Damon is still looking for his family, although I think he'd be very happy to stay here with me, it's like he owns the place.
He's a very sweet affectionate little man, loves to sleep on the pillow above your head. Loves chasing his teaser toy and playing with hair bobbles 🤣

Taking enquiries now! Would prefer him to be somewhere there is another young cat already as company for him 🫶🏼

Please share xx

✨ Mama Dotty & Kittens update ✨

I love a happy ending 🤩 mama Dotty was successfully caught, spayed and is recovering well with her finder.

Stefan and Damon have come on in leaps and bounds and are now very sociable, purry friendly little kittens, not like the hissy, feisty, feral babies they were when they came in.

A 5⭐ home found already for little Stefan , just Damon to find his forever family now❤️

Just had the most wonderful update from Yorkshire Cat Rescue

Athena gave birth to 4 healthy, beautiful babies a week ago today, and has been the perfect mama.

So so happy this girl is in such amazing hands, so I can focus on Salem, Stefan and Damon and continue attempts to catch their mama Dotty ❤️🐱

I went over earlier, and although I was unable to catch her today, she is becoming more trusting of her feeder, so I'm hoping we will successfully get her caught and brought in as soon as possible 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼

These 2 little guys, Stefan and Damon, are just about 6 weeks old and were found in a garage, hidden away. We had to step in for their safety. Their mom won't come near humans, so we're working on catching her to get her spayed before more kittens arrive.

We really need your help to provide food, litter, and medical care for these sweet boys—and their mom once we catch her. Every little bit counts!

If you can, please like, comment, and share this post so more people can see it. Together, we can make a difference for Stefan, Damon, and their mama ❤
