Had a great early morning walk with cute bundle of energy and got a beautiful picture later in the day where she was crashed out asleep in front of the fan. What a dogs life.

With the temperatures set to rise next week into another heatwave just a quick reminder that wooden hutches and plastic hides in outdoor runs heat up quickly, keep your small animals safe in the shade to avoid over heating which could cause heat stroke quickly.

☀️🐾 Hot Weather Alert for Next Week 22nd to 26th June 2026. Keeping Your Dogs Safe in the Heat

With temperatures set to rise next week, I’ll be making a few sensible adjustments to keep all dogs safe, comfortable, and happy during their walks.

During hot weather, dogs can overheat quickly — even on short walks — so I’ll be:

Walking earlier or later in the day when it’s cooler

Choosing shaded routes and avoiding hot pavements

Reducing walk lengths if needed

Providing plenty of water and rest breaks

Switching to garden visits or enrichment time instead of walks or for dogs who are heat‑sensitive.

Your dog’s wellbeing always comes first. Every walk will be tailored to the temperature and to each dog’s individual needs.
