Dog Grooming Tutor Wanted – Level 3 Diploma in Dog Grooming 🐾

We are looking for an experienced and passionate Dog Grooming Tutor to join our team and deliver training for our Level 3 Diploma in Dog Grooming programme.

Role: Self-employed Dog Grooming Tutor
Initially 1 day per week
Hourly rate to be agreed
Start: To be discussed

We are seeking someone who can inspire learners, share industry knowledge, and support students in developing professional dog grooming skills.

Essential requirements ✅
Hold one of the following recognised Level 3 Dog Grooming qualifications:

• AIM Qualifications Level 3 Diploma in Dog Grooming (603/0891/6)
• Open College Network West Midlands Level 3 Diploma in Dog Grooming (603/0891/6)
• City & Guilds Level 3 Diploma in Dog Grooming (603/0353/0)
• City & Guilds Diploma for Professional Dog Stylists (500/7722/3)
• City & Guilds NPTC Level 3 Advanced Certificate in Dog Grooming (100/5769/9)
• iPET Network Level 3 Diploma in Dog Grooming and Salon Management (603/5945/6)

Industry experience:
• Minimum 3 years’ experience working in the dog grooming sector
• Current and relevant dog grooming industry experience
• Evidence of CPD within the dog grooming sector in the last 12 months

Teaching & assessment experience:
• Recent teaching experience within dog grooming (within the last 3 years)
• Hold, or be working towards, an assessor qualification (within the last 12 months)
• Willing to attend AIM training

🐶 The Training Area – Designed for Aspiring Groomers
Our dedicated training space has been carefully designed to give students a true professional grooming experience. Each student benefits from their own fully equipped workstation, complete with:
• Professional clippers & blades
• Scissors, brushes & combs
• A personal grooming trolley for ease and organisation

🚿 Students also have access to a height-adjustable stainless steel bath and high-velocity dryers, ensuring hands-on experience with industry-leading equipment.

🛠️ Every workstation includes an adjustable grooming table with ‘H’ Bar and industry-standard restraints, prioritising comfort, safety, and best practice for both students and dogs.

We’re proud to offer a modern, professional environment where future groomers can learn, grow, and perfect their skills 💙

George came in for grooming and was an absolute superstar from start to finish — calm, happy, and looking very handsome after his pamper session ✨

At the British School of Grooming, we love starting January by reminding owners how important regular grooming is. Getting your dog groomed helps keep their coat healthy, skin comfortable, and lets us spot any issues early — the perfect way to begin the year on the right paw 🐶
