You can often spot my name in Total Grooming Magazine as I get asked questions to answer as an “expert” to give advice or opinions. However, a while ago, I was asked whether I would be happy to be featured as their “Groomer of the Month”. I was on holiday at the time, replied a delighted “yes” and then promptly forgot. At the last minute I had to send off my answers to their interview questions and some accompanying photo’s but this is the end result that I am happy to share with you all.

To whomever keeps trying to gain access to our salon via our front door …

There is no cash kept on the premises at any time.
Unless you have a fe**sh for dog treats, grooming scissors or dog shampoo, there is nothing you’d want inside.
There is no internal access to any other property. We can’t get to the flat upstairs or the business behind us. They are nothing to do with us.

I don’t know what you are trying to achieve but we are a small business. We groom dogs. That’s it.
Please stop. I simply cannot afford to keep replacing locks or making repairs.

As I sit here, completely zonked out and relaxed in my caravan by the sea in Scarborough, I remember that I completely forgot to update this page to say that we shall be closed for the next two weeks!

As is our usual want, the last two weeks of August see us downing tools, closing our doors (now that the door works) and zipping across to visit another part of the country.
We will reopen once again on 1st September - hopefully a lot less stressed and a bit cooler.

Pleased to report that we now have a fully functioning front door with a lock that can latch.

You won’t believe this … came to open up this morning and the brand new lock on our front door won’t open.
Fortunately, I had the good sense to bring the back door key with me so we are in.
HOWEVER, we can’t open the front door so please, if you are coming in today… use the back door

Please check your dog’s nails regularly. This gorgeous little soul came in yesterday for a nail trim and there was at least one nail on every foot that had grown straight into the pad. Incredibly painful for the dog to walk on and live with and so easily preventable.
This foot wasn’t even the worst one …

We are now closed for a much deserved week off! We shall return on Tuesday 4th August - hopefully much refreshed.
