We completely ran out of food yesterday... but thanks to your incredible kindness, we were able to do a huge shopping haul and restock everything for our rescue birds. 🫶🏻

Here's a little timelapse of me filling all the food containers, mixing everything together, adding their probiotics and electrolytes, and finally serving dinner to some very happy pigeons. 🕊️

Every bag of food, every supplement, and every meal in this video was made possible by your GoFundMe donations. 🙌🏼

Thank you for helping us keep these birds healthy, happy, and well-fed. We genuinely couldn't do this without you. 🤍

Watching them tuck into their dinner makes all the hard work worthwhile. Thank you for being part of their journey. 🤲🏼

Link to Go Fund Me is attached in our bio if anybody else would like to make a contribution! 🪽

What a joke🤣 the audacity to impose and hose pipe ban when water companies are pumping sewage into our rivers and reservoirs, damaging the ecosystem aswell as the environment in which all of us live in!

Hi everyone, 👋🏼

I don’t usually like asking for help like this, but I wanted to share our GoFundMe in case anyone would like to support Percy’s Pigeon Preserve. 🅿️

Every donation, no matter how small, goes a very long way here at PPP and would be hugely appreciated to say the least. 🫶🏼

All contributions will go directly towards helping us care for the pigeons and keeping the preserve running. 💙

If you’re unable to donate, sharing the fundraiser would also mean a great deal to us.🙏🏼

🕊️🚗 PEUGEOT UPDATE🚗🕊️

I know a lot of you have been asking how Peugeot is getting on, so I thought I'd give you all an update.

The good news is that he's continuing to do really well and has come on leaps and bounds since arriving at the rescue. It's incredible to think that just a short while ago he was found submerged in a bucket of heavy duty mechanic's hand cleanser, exhausted and fighting for his life.

Yesterday, I carried out another waterproof test to assess whether the natural waterproofing on his feathers had fully returned. Unfortunately, he's not quite out of the woods just yet. Whilst he's improved massively, the cleanser stripped away the protective waterproof coating from his feathers and around his eyes, so he still needs a little more time before it's safe for him to face the unpredictable British weather again.

Over the last few days, Peugeot has graduated from his recovery crate and has been spending his days in the outdoor aviary alongside some of my permanent residents. After becoming a little frustrated in the crate, the extra space, fresh air and the opportunity to socialise with other pigeons has done him the world of good. His confidence has grown, he's much more relaxed and it's been wonderful to watch him behaving like a pigeon again.

At this stage, it's simply a waiting game. I'll continue to monitor his progress whilst keeping human interaction to an absolute minimum. As with every rescue that comes through my doors, the aim has never been to keep wild animals in captivity any longer than necessary. The goal is always to 'rescue, rehabilitate and release'. I want Peugeot to remain a wild pigeon, not become tame or reliant on humans, so that when the time comes, he has the very best chance of slipping straight back into his natural life.

As soon as I'm happy that the waterproofing has fully returned to his feathers and the delicate area around his eyes has recovered, Peugeot will finally be able to return home to the family he was unexpectedly separated from. From the moment he arrived, the hope has always been that he'd get the second chance he deserved and be reunited with his partner once again. Thankfully, we're getting closer to making that happen every single day. ❤️🕊️

Finally, I'd just like to say thank you to everyone who continues to support the rescue. Over the last week or so we've had a significant number of new intakes, all requiring food, medication, equipment and around the clock care. If you're in a position to help, donations are always hugely appreciated, but right now they would mean even more. No matter how big or small, every single contribution genuinely makes a difference and goes a long way towards giving birds like Peugeot the second chance they deserve.

The GoFundMe link is attached below and also will be in the below. Thank you, as always, for your kindness, encouragement and continued support—it really does make what I do possible. ❤️
