After a lovely Sunday morning walk in the sun, Marley the cockapoo and I were greeted by a very friendly/ confident tabby cat on our route home! Clearly as far as he was concerned this was his patch and we were just visitors! Marley didn't quite know what to make of it all 🙂 x

When it's too hot to run after a ball, there's always the option for a game of hide and seek instead - and luckily there was a field full of buttercups to hide the ball in! Luna the spaniel loved sniffing it out!

There are some pretty posh dog toys out there, but it's lovely how much pleasure a dog can still get from a 79p tennis ball 🙂

Ace the labrador looks very happy with his easter egg (special dog-safe chocolate!) - an Easter thank you to all my regular doggy clients and a small way to celebrate nearly six months as a dog walking business 🙂

Sometimes hot weather means you have to be adaptable! In this case, it meant Minnie May and me popping into a local coffee shop during our walk to enjoy the shade and grab an iced coffee (for me!) and a puppuccino (for her!) 🙂

A little something to help hot dogs in this sunny weather! If you are passing the Two Wheels Dog Walking sandwich board on Bodmin Road, there's a bowl of water with ice cubes for all thirsty canines. Help yourselves!

Today felt like a small but important milestone. For the first time ever, I had four (hour long) dog walks booked in my diary in one day!

This was the goal I've been slowly working towards since I first came up with the concept of my dog walking business back in November - to offer high quality, bespoke dog walks on a one to one basis.

My instinct told me the need for such walks was out there - but it was still a leap into the unknown!

Four walks is I feel my happy maximum - being the most I can physically manage in a day, bearing in mind as well the need to cycle from one walk to the next!

This model of dog walking will never make me a millionaire, but I hope and believe it will allow me to stand on my own two feet financially - and I'm more than content with that 🙂

Anyway, today felt like one of those perfect spring days where the sun was shining, there wasn't a cloud in the sky, and Bruno the Yorkshire terrier and I might as well have had the entire woods to ourselves.

My feet feel very sore, I'm (believe it or not) actually sunburnt (!), but I'm so proud of myself for coming this far. And looking forward to many happy dog walks ahead 🙂

Steps walked: 21,836
Miles walked: 5
Miles cycled: 11
Poohs picked up: 6!

Litter - and broken glass in particular - can be a real danger for dogs and wildlife and if not collected often ends up in our storm drains, rivers and (eventually) our oceans.

Took advantage of a sunny evening to litter pick along my main dog walking routes - hopefully keeping the paths a little safer and cleaner for everyone both four-legged and two-legged 🙂

If you go down to the woods today ....! Look out for my March Nature Notes which I have just put up on the information boards at Stoke Park Woods. I hope they prove interesting and add to everyone's enjoyment of these special woods 🙂

After so many cold and grey days, Bruno the yorkie and I allowed ourselves a moment or two on our woodland walk to plonk ourselves on a helpful log and just feel the sunshine on our faces. Feel so lucky that I get to spend my time in such special places and with such special companions 🙂

I think we can all learn a lot from labradors. Ace's main priorities in life seem to be exploring each interesting smell he encounters from every possible angle, and wallowing in the muddiest, stickiest puddles he can find 🙂
