A long winded post but a little bit about Left Paw Pet Care, how this all started and some updates…
I launched this dog walking and pet sitting business last year after deciding to step away from my role as a supermarket manager. While it was a massive leap after working in retail for 10 years from the age of 16, it was never the career I saw myself in long term. I wanted to build something centred around my love for animals, and where I could be my own boss! As most of you know I also own Left Paw Cat Rescue, so going into a career based around animals just felt the right thing to do, as well as meaning I could work it around running the rescue.
Since starting, the support has been amazing and the business is continuing to grow, which is why I’m very excited to share our next step…
My good friend and actually my manager at the pub I work at on the side at, Libby, is officially joining the team! 🎉
After working as a pub manager, Libby is ready for a change too. We both decided to move away from long, demanding hours and go into something more fulfilling that we actually have a genuine care for and enjoy! She’s just as passionate about animals as I am, and I couldn’t think of a better person to grow this business alongside.
Of course we also have Rhys. As my partner, he’s been around the business from the beginning picking up the odd walk/visit here and there, but is now joining us more officially. Like me and Libby, he wanted a fresh start in a role that’s active, rewarding, and centred around working with animals!
Together, we’re building a small, trusted team focused on providing reliable, caring, and personalised dog walking and pet sitting.
Thank you so much to everyone who has supported the journey so far, and we can’t wait to watch our business grow and get to continue to support so many beautiful animals!
Due to growing our employees, we are of course still looking for more clients to get on board. From cats to dogs and everything in between! For any enquires please do drop us a message or email and we’ll get back to you as soon as we can🥰
For any existing clients - this also gives you more security! Of course I will continue to complete any dog walks/pet sits that I already do but it also means if for any reason I can’t (sickness, holiday etc) there will always be someone to cover and you or your pet won’t ever miss out!
Totally appreciate there will be some exceptions to this, such as nervous cats who need to get used to people etc so any objections to this please do let me know and we will do our best to accommodate you!
With this, to make it easier for the three of us to communicate with you all at the same time we will slowly be adding you all to a WhatsApp community, don’t worry only us three will be able to see your numbers no one else!! If all existing clients could give this post a like to confirm if you’re happy with that that would be fantastic, if not I will start individually messaging everyone and get you all moved across!
