Another year done! Thank you to every retailer who took part in National Pet Shop Day 2026, and to every pet owner who chose local on Saturday.

The photos, stories and community spirit has been incredible. Independent pet shops really feel at the heart of UK pet care again, and that’s all down to you.

We’ll be going through all the photos and videos we are tagged in and sharing more of the highlights soon.

We have also got an important decision to make for the best store activities, which will be released very soon!

Thank you, once again.

Not a retailer? Not to worry! Everyone can be part of National Pet Shop Day.

If you’re a pet owner, this is your reminder that independent pet shops offer something that online search engines and supermarkets can’t.

Real pet professionals, knowledge and expertise, and a genuine investment in the health and happiness of your pet.

On Saturday 11th July, we're asking you to park convenience aside for a moment and choose differently.

Visit your local participating pet shop, discover the value on your doorstep, and show the businesses that look after your pets that you want them to stay.

Use our store locator to find your nearest participating shop: https://nationalpetshopday.com/store-locator/

We have got a very special message for this year's campaign.

Welsh rugby legend Scott Quinnell is supporting National Pet Shop Day 2026, and he's got something to say about local pet shops.

Scott knows a thing or two about having strength from community backing. And he's right. Independent pet shops are the heartbeat of high streets up and down the country, but they need people to walk through the door to survive.

So whether you're a lifelong rugby fan, a proud pet owner, or someone who cares about keeping local businesses alive, watch the video, share it, and get behind your local pet shop on July 11th.
