Another year done! Thank you to every retailer who took part in National Pet Shop Day 2026, and to every pet owner who chose local on Saturday.

The photos, stories and community spirit has been incredible. Independent pet shops really feel at the heart of UK pet care again, and that’s all down to you.

We’ll be going through all the photos and videos we are tagged in and sharing more of the highlights soon.

We have also got an important decision to make for the best store activities, which will be released very soon!

Today is the day to support the pet shop that supports your pet. Pop into your nearest participating store, pick up something for your pet, speak to a member of staff, and experience firsthand why local independents need to be treasured.

• Shared your involvement on social media?

• Found your nearest participating shop using our store locator?
• Told your friends, family and fellow pet lovers about the day?
• Followed us and Johnson’s Veterinary Products on social media?

If you are a pet product retailer taking part in National Pet Shop Day 2026, here's what you need to do to enter our 'Best Store Activities' competition:

1. Read the T&Cs on the website
2. Share photos of your store activities on Facebook or Instagram, or email your entry to [email protected]
3. Include the hashtags:

5. Tag both accounts in any posts or stories from the day we’ll do our best to reshare them
