Bean was adopted by myself after being scheduled for euthanasia and underwent a hind limb amputation. She’s recovered brilliantly and is now enjoying 3 legged life in her forever home. ❤️

Did you know that fly strike can kill a rabbit in as little as 24 hours? ☀️🪰

As the weather warms up, it’s more important than ever to check your rabbit’s bottom daily for any signs of soiling, urine scalding, or fly eggs. Fly strike is a painful and life-threatening emergency caused by flies laying eggs on a rabbit, which hatch into maggots and rapidly damage the skin.

⚠️ Signs to watch for:
• Dirty or wet bottom
• Reduced appetite
• Lethargy
• Bad smell
• Visible eggs or maggots
