Yesterday I attended Glebe Farm Kennels and Cattery, TumFleet, Doncaster, DN6 0DT, after being asked by the owners of two German Shepherds, Zeus and Bella, to help remove them from the premises.
The owners were abroad and extremely concerned after receiving photos of Zeus with a significant wound around his neck area while he was staying there.
I want to be clear: this post is based on what I personally saw, what I was told directly by the owners, and what I believe now needs proper investigation.
When I arrived, I had serious concerns about some of the areas I saw. In my opinion, the standards I observed were not what I would expect from a professional boarding environment.
When Zeus was brought out, he had a significant wound around his neck area and appeared uncomfortable when pressure was near it. I am not a vet and I am not here to diagnose the wound or state the cause. That is for veterinary professionals and the relevant authorities to determine.
However, from what I personally saw, I believe there are serious questions that need answering around his care, monitoring, communication, and veterinary aftercare.
Zeus and Bella are now safe. Zeus has had further veterinary support arranged, is on antibiotics and pain relief, and has a follow-up appointment booked.
This is not about online drama. This is about animal welfare, accountability, and making sure licensed boarding establishments are being properly inspected and held to the standards the public expect.
If you have had direct experience with Glebe Farm Kennels and Cattery, DN6 0DT, or have genuine information, evidence, photos, vet reports, messages, invoices, or concerns that may assist, please get in touch privately.
Please do not threaten, harass, or abuse anyone. That does not help the dogs, the owners, or any investigation.
If you have evidence, keep it factual, keep it documented, and report it properly to the relevant authorities.
This needs looking into properly.
My only concern is the welfare of the animals.
