Saturday woodland walk with Pip 🧡🍂🍁

🍂🌧️ Not every dog loves autumn, and that’s okay!

Some dogs absolutely LOVE the rain, mud and wind, and will happily splash through every puddle they pass. Others would much rather be cosy and dry at home 😂

And that’s okay! Just like us, dogs have their own likes, dislikes and comfort levels.

I would never force a dog to go for a walk if they’re uncomfortable with the conditions. I’ll always listen to what they’re telling me and adapt to what they’re comfortable with 🧡

Where possible, and with your consent, we can swap the walk for a drop-in visit instead, so they’re still getting their toilet break, interaction and some enrichment.

If that’s not possible, or isn’t needed because you’re home, I’m more than happy for you to contact me as early as possible to rearrange or cancel at no charge, as long as the walk hasn’t taken place.

Neither of us can control the weather or what our dogs do and don’t enjoy, and sometimes putting their welfare first means taking a financial loss on my part.

But that’s part of welfare-led care. I’d rather respect your dog’s feelings and comfort than take payment for a walk they’re not happy doing 🐾

So, is your dog team muddy puddles or team cosy and dry? 🍂💚

Cats, critters & homegrown goodies! 🐾🌱

A little look back at a lovely month caring for my regulars, from Cosmo the adventurer and Stella the guard cat alongside their less cuddly housemates - the gecko and fish! 🐈🦎🐠

Did you know it’s not just furry friends I look after? I’m happy to care for your reptiles, fish, plants and vegetable patches while you’re away, too.

I love plants and watching things grow, so keeping my clients’ gardens thriving and getting to enjoy a little homegrown harvest along the way is an added bonus! 🥬🍅🧡

Not every dog needs the same walk 🐾

Some need time to sniff, some need space, and some need a little confidence boosting.

It’s not about how far we walk, but about understanding the individual dog and what they need to feel happy, safe and comfortable 🧡

Because every dog deserves a walk that works for them.

What does your dog love most about their walks? 👇🏼

My feed has definitely become very heavily overnight sitting content lately 😂
So here’s a little glimpse of some of the dog walks, drop-ins & day sits that make up the rest of my week 🐾
