I hope everyone is enjoying this wonderful hot weather but we are being mindful that it is not such fun for our doggies and aware of the potential for heatstroke.
We will not be closing the dog park but are encouraging early morning and evening bookings while the temperature is extreme. We do have the shelter to provide shade and drinking water available at all times. We will if requested, add a paddling pool.
Although the dog’s owner remains primarily responsible for the dog’s welfare under the Animal Welfare Act 2006, as a commercial operator we need to advise our clients of the obvious risks of over-excercising in extreme heat.
