🐾 DBS Checked Hi there, My name is Sam and I created Tails 2 Trails back in November 2021 because I've always had a passion for animals (I studied a Degree in Animal Conservation at Petroc) and as a Dog owner myself, walking my Dogs is the highlight of my day. So I decided to create Tails 2 Trails and hopefully enrich the lives of other Dogs, giving them the opportunity to socialise and play in safe settings, in groups alongside other Dogs who are suitable playmates in terms of size and personality.

Anyway, 3 fabulous walks today at Huntshaw Woods, Westward Ho beach and Griggs.

We were joined today by Hazel for her first walk with us. I've never seen spaniel madness in such a little package, but she's absolutely fab and she's going to add even more fun on alternating Mondays 😁🤪

(Sorry its late)

Surviving another week with a brisk walk on the beach. Rita and Norman asked to go home constantly, Teddy hid between my legs for the majority of the walk, and Fred didn't even notice the weather, far too busy spanieling.

A few playfights at Griggs, another radiant smile from Bow, and superb refereeing from Percy.

Now, a quick treat this morning in the shape of a full English before another, hopefully drier walk down the beach 😁

I asked my customers to provide a towel for their dogs this winter, rather than me providing them and having to wash 15 towels every day for the next 6 months.

It created a debate from some. "I've never had a problem". "I know my dogs". "There are so many more signs you can look out for".

Genuinely interested, is this something that I should be taking into consideration with group walks? Obviously I still take dogs out in coats, but only if its the right walk for that. If i have a younger dog who will need to be put in their place during the walk, I just think coats can cause more issues than they prevent.

I forgot to take photos on my first walk today 🤦‍♂️ but made up for it with the next two. Kolo (my first born) joined me for the entire day, it was nice to have some quality time with her because she gets overlooked in the meyhem of spaniels at home.

Rita, Norman and Murray joined my three for a good old run and sniff in the fields behind ARC.

Molly, Frieda, Teddy, Bow & Darcey brought the energy down the beach, the hoolie that was blowing definitely helped, as that always gets the dogs riled up!

A walk through Griggs for Freddie, Percey, Bella, Teddy & George left a couple rather smelly 💩😮‍💨
The problem with this group is that they are always running. Kipchoge couldn't keep up with them, so what chance does a chubby chap like me have when they find something potent to roll in 😪😂

As we quickly make our way into the next 8 months of winter, I'd like to amend my practice after learning some lessons from last winter, after numerous complaints from my cleaning department (Although Libby hates it when i call her that).

I wont be providing towels to dry your dogs after each walk. Good hygiene and infection control protocols meant that I never used the same towel twice, meaning I was getting through around 15 towels per day. That amount of laundry was quite frankly, ridiculous for one person (again, Libby) to manage

Therefore as we head into the wet season, I ask that you please provide your own towel for a dry down upon drop offs. Not only will it save me a fortune on laundry and hours of time over the course of the week, it might also keep my relationship with the cleane--- Libby together.

Huntshaw Woods this morning with Teddy, Alvin, Enzo, Murray and Kolo 🌳

A total spaniel fest in the fields with Freds, Teddy, Luna, Ralph, joined by a half spaniel and Frieda ⚡️

Percy, George, Rufus and Bella had a lovely stroll through the woods, poor Rufus missed out on his photo because i was distracted by copious amount of fox 💩 he decided to roll in 🤢

Finished up with a pop in for Mylo, Vinny and Murray. And that's Monday 😮‍💨
