Next up in our Meet The Team series, we’re delighted to introduce Diane Sercombe as our Practice Manager.

Diane brings a wealth of experience from her previous roles in NHS administration and the corporate sector, with a strong background in organisation, management and supporting busy teams. Outside of work, Diane enjoys riding her Spanish horse Ron, and spending time with her much-loved Grecian rescue dog, Glyka. Her experience, enthusiasm and passion for the equestrian world makes her a fantastic addition to the practice, and we’re very honoured to have her on board.

There’s nothing we love more than receiving lovely feedback from our clients, especially when it comes with photos of their horses doing so well! 🐴💚

This afternoon, we received this wonderful message from Alice about her horse, Alfie:

“Thank you so much to Oliver and the team at Oxford Equine Vets for finding the cause of the lameness that I kept hoping would just fix itself! They held my hand the whole way and have made everything so easy to understand and I’m so glad they did! Just 3 months ago we treated his coffin joints with a new non-steroidal treatment and he has felt like a brand new horse since to come 4th at the Trailblazers championships! Thank you so much again to the team at Oxford Equine, I wouldn’t have been able to do it without you!”

Vet Oliver says: “We have been loving using a novel preparation of sildenafil as a highly effective non-steroidal cost-effective treatment in horses. We’re very greatful to hear this excellent feedback from client Alice and her horse Alfie!”

One of the best things about playing live isn't just the music... it's the people you meet along the way and the stories behind the businesses and organisations that invite us to be part of their special moments.

This weekend I was honoured to perform at the first birthday celebrations of Oxford Equine Vets in Marsh Gibbon (did I get the name right? 🤦‍♂️) — with my very own Tonto, Steve, in tow — keeping me sounding better than I probably deserve!

I also had the chance to chat with owner Oliver and hear how the practice has grown from an idea around the dining room table into a thriving business in just over a year. Despite that incredible growth, their focus remains the same – providing a personal touch, caring for their clients, and building genuine relationships.

Congratulations to Oliver and the whole team on an amazing first year. A big thank you to Poppy for booking me in and asking us to be part of such a special celebration. We wish you all every success for the future.

It was wonderful to celebrate with so many of our wonderful clients, friends and family last night!

This year wouldn’t haven’t been possible without your incredible support.

Huge thanks to Sixteen One Creative for organising such an amazing night, Mr Paul Adams for the music and entertainment and all the OEV team and family who made this all possible!

Eye injuries should never be underestimated. 👁️

Thanks to fast treatment, this eye lesion healed incredibly quickly, and now you can hardly tell anything ever happened. Even better, there has been no long-term damage. A great reminder that prompt veterinary attention can make all the difference when it comes to protecting vision and achieving the best possible outcome. 💚🐴

Lionel presented with acute-onset abnormal behaviours which his owner acted quickly as she identified the colic symptoms. In attendance we identified a displacement of his intestines and accumulation of gas. Medication and lunging throughout the night got him back on his feet and we can’t wait to see how his training progresses! 🤞🏻
