As the weather warms up, we're seeing an increase in pets affected by grass seeds. These small seeds may look harmless, but they can cause serious problems for dogs and cats! 😭

Grass seeds can become lodged in:
Paw pads and between the toes, Ears, Eyes, Noses, Even under the skin, where they can migrate and cause painful infections.

Signs to watch for include:
• Excessive licking or chewing at paws
• Sudden limping
• Head shaking or scratching at the ears
• Sneezing repeatedly
• Swelling, redness, or discharge from the skin

To help prevent problems:
✅ Check your pet's paws, ears, and coat after walks
✅ Keep fur between the toes trimmed
✅ Avoid long grass where possible 😁

Yesterday was World pet memorial day, a time to remember the beloved pets who have touched our lives and left lasting memories behind. 🐾

We help many families through home visit euthanasias, allowing pets to spend their final moments in the comfort of familiar surroundings, we also continue to support owners through euthanasia appointments in practice. These are never easy decisions, but it is a privilege to help provide a peaceful and dignified farewell for much-loved companions.

Our thoughts are with everyone who has had to say goodbye to a beloved companion. 🐾

Please remember that you are not alone. If you would like to talk about end-of-life care, euthanasia, or simply need a supportive chat, our door is always open.💕

📣 Introducing Lupa - Our New Client App! 🐾

We're excited to announce that we now have a new appointment and communication system called Lupa.

You can now download the app here:

Through the app, you can:
✅ Request appointments
✅ Submit medication requests
✅ Contact us with updates about your pet's health

As this is a brand-new system, please bear with us while we continue testing and refining it.

⚠️ Important: Appointment requests are currently available for Mike only while we test the booking process. Medication requests and health updates can still be submitted through the app as normal.

Before downloading and registering, please make sure the email address you use in Lupa is exactly the same as the email address we have recorded on your account. If the email address does not match, the app will not be able to link to your account and your pet's details. (Please contact the practice if you're unsure which email address we have on file for you.)

Thank you for your patience and support as we introduce this new service. We look forward to hearing your feedback! 🐶🐱

Did you know.. Rabbits teeth never stop growing throughout their lives. Their incisors and cheek teeth can grow several millimeters per month! 😱
