Rain or shine, the riding still goes on! 🌧️🐴

A huge thank you to everyone who braved the rain yesterday to join me for coaching at Bromsgrove & District Riding Club (BDRC) Camp at Lincomb Equestrian!

It certainly wasn’t the driest of days, but everyone arrived with a great attitude and got stuck in, and rode brilliantly despite the weather. It’s always lovely to see riders making progress over the course of a session, whatever the conditions throw at us!

Whilst I’m certainly not complaining about finally getting some rain for the grass, if you’d rather keep your next training session weatherproof, I have an INDOOR Train & Test Riding Clinic at Stourport Riding Centre on Thursday 11th September.

Wyre Forest Camp 2026 🐴

Two ponies, two nights in the horsebox and A LOT of steps later… 🏃🏻‍♀️

We had the best time at Wyre Forest Pony club Camp! Ritchie & Rolo both worked their little socks off and did so well, and we even came home with some beautiful rosettes. Thank you to all the organisers for such a fabulous event.

There’s something so special about getting away with your ponies, making memories and having plenty of fun along the way. (And yes… I definitely got my steps in! 😂)

⭐ Spaces available ⭐ at my next Train & Test Riding Clinic | Thursday 13th Aug

If you’re looking to get some focused training in, I have spaces available at my next Train & Test Riding Clinic at Stourport Riding Centre next Thursday on the 13th of August.

This one is a daytime clinic, with spaces available from mid morning onwards, before I head over to coach the West Midlands Dressage Group in the other arena that evening.

As always, these sessions can be tailored to what you and your horse need, whether that’s working on your test riding, improving your competition warm up, developing your horse’s way of going or simply having some focused training time in a supportive environment.

What a fantastic first Petplan Area Festival for Bea & Barclay! 🥳

A 𝗵𝘂𝗴𝗲 𝘄𝗲𝗹𝗹 𝗱𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗕𝗲𝗮 𝗥𝗼𝗴𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗕𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗹𝗮𝘆, who took on their very first Petplan Area Festival Regional Final at Kingswood in July and came away with an incredible 6th place out of a class of 27 in the Prelim Bronze.

For anyone unfamiliar with the Petplan Area Festivals, they're designed to give grassroots riders the opportunity to compete at championship level, with qualification earned through regional heats held throughout the season. Reaching the Regional Final is an achievement in itself, so to finish in the top six in such a competitive class is something to be really proud of.

Bea has worked incredibly hard over the last year, both in her private lessons and at the West Midlands Dressage Group sessions, and it's been lovely to watch her confidence and partnership with Barclay continue to grow.

Results are always rewarding, but what stands out most is seeing that consistent hard work at home reflected in the competition arena.

A huge congratulations, Bea – a brilliant result at your first Petplan Regional Final, and I'm looking forward to seeing what the future holds for you both! 👏🐴

Celebrating some fantastic Pony Club success! 🥳

A huge shout out to Annie and Hattie, who both had brilliant results at the Pony Club Area Dressage Championships last week and have qualified for the Regional Championships.

𝗔𝗻𝗻𝗶𝗲 𝗪𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗻, who I coach both privately and through the West Midlands Dressage Group, had a fantastic day, finishing 4th with her team and 6th individually on a score of 67.4%, securing her place at the Regional Championships.

𝗛𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗶𝗲 𝗠𝗼𝗼𝗿𝗲, who I coach privately, also had a great competition, finishing 8th in the 70 and an impressive 2nd in the 80, qualifying for the Regional Championships in both sections.

Results are always lovely, but seeing riders rewarded for the hard work they put in at home is the best part for me. Both Annie and Hattie have worked consistently behind the scenes, and it's wonderful to see that dedication paying off. A huge well done to you both – I can't wait to see what the Regional Championships bring! 👏🍀

Good luck Ella-Grace & Amelia, from Rolo & Ritchie! 🇬🇧

A huge good luck to 𝗘𝗹𝗹𝗮-𝗚𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗲 and 𝗔𝗺𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗮 𝗗𝗼𝘃𝗲𝘆, who are both at the European Championships!

Ella-Grace has been selected for the British Dressage Junior Team, while Amelia is representing Great Britain in the British Dressage Children on Horses Team. What an incredible achievement for them both! 🥳

I've known the girls for many years, right back to when they were little. They came to the West Midlands Dressage Group for a while, and it's actually through them that we ended up with the gorgeous Rolo. Although I haven't coached them for a long time, it's been lovely to watch their journey over the years, and I'll certainly be cheering them on from home.

Rolo & Ritchie UPDATE 🎥

As Rolo the Shetland pony seems to have become the accidental mascot of this page recently, I thought you might all enjoy a little progress update... and, of course, another video of those infectious giggles! 🥰

This is Ritchie's very first canter at his first Wyre Forest Pony club rally at Lincomb Equestrian. It's lovely to see his confidence continuing to grow, and I couldn't be prouder of them both.

⭐ Centre10 Coach Awards 2026 ⭐

I may not have come home with an award this year, but reading these nominations genuinely felt like a win in itself.

To everyone who took the time to nominate me and write such incredibly kind words... thank you.

As coaches, we spend so much time focusing on helping others achieve their goals that we don't often stop to reflect on the impact we might be having ourselves. To hear that I've made a difference to someone's confidence, enjoyment, partnership with their horse or journey as a rider really does mean more than I can put into words.

One comment in particular summed up exactly what I always strive for:

"She looks after and supports the rider as a whole, physically and mentally."

That holistic approach is at the heart of my coaching. Whether it's improving a dressage test, building confidence after a setback, supporting a nervous rider or helping someone work towards a long term goal, I want every rider to leave a session feeling more confident, more capable and enjoying their horses that little bit more.

Thank you again to everyone who nominated me and to all of my wonderful clients for trusting me to be part of your journey. I feel incredibly lucky to do a job that I genuinely love. ❤️
