Well looks like the Giant shield mantises isn't done yet 🤣🙈 well it's a good thing hopefully she will produce quite a few oothecas (egg sacks) as that's I think now the second but I'm not actually too sure as they have been together for few days now and the usual thing you would expect the male to be eaten by the female and not have multiple rounds 🤣🤣

Did you know? Dubia roaches can survive for a surprisingly long time without food compared with many feeder insects, thanks to their slow metabolism and ability to conserve energy! They're built for survival, which is one reason they're so successful at establishing breeding colonies as Dubia roaches are fascinating insects and very popular live feeders for reptiles, amphibians and other insect-eating animals and Here's how their life cycle works:

Eggs: Females develop their young internally and give birth to live nymphs rather than laying exposed eggs like many other roaches.

Nymphs: Baby Dubias grow by shedding their exoskeleton several times as they develop.

Adults: Once fully grown, they stop moulting and can reproduce to produce the next generation

Our Top tip for the Dubias they need suitable warmth, food and hydration to thrive helps maintain a healthy feeder colony. I mainly feed my dubia colony Fresh veg and some fruit now and again always remember to remove fruit that's been in more than a day to stop mold growth !

If you need any live Dubia Roaches for your pet please visit our online shop link or if your local to us please give us a message and we get your order sorted and it will be ready for collection
