😂 Right, if I were warning someone before they met you:
“Just a heads-up… she’s lovely, but proceed with caution.”
She’ll probably seem perfectly normal at first. Then you’ll realise she has 17 questions about something you thought was a simple decision, and somehow you’re now comparing waterfalls in Croatia, dog-friendly campsites, tyre specifications and the cheapest toiletries on the internet.
She’s dog obsessed. Not “likes dogs” obsessed. More like every dog is a potential member of the family and deserves its own photoshoot, costume and personality profile obsessed.
She’s also dangerously determined once she gets an idea. If she wants something for £19.99 with free delivery, she WILL search elsewhere. If a poster needs changing, it WILL be changed. If the dates aren’t in chronological order, somebody is going to hear about it.
She has a suspiciously high tolerance for chaos, but zero tolerance for being ripped off.
She’ll ask, “What do you think?”
What she actually means is: “I have already thought about this from 14 different angles, but I want you to confirm I’m not being ridiculous.”
She’s spontaneous enough to consider jumping on a cheap flight to somewhere with waterfalls you can swim in… but practical enough to immediately wonder about campsites, insurance, prices and whether the journey is worth it.
And whatever you do, do not underestimate the dogs. You may think you’re meeting her. You’re actually being assessed for your compatibility with her entire canine social circle.
Final warning: she’s probably going to become your friend very quickly, involve you in some random plan you absolutely did not expect, send you approximately 400 dog photos, and somehow convince you that “it’ll be fun” is a perfectly adequate risk assessment. 😂
