The Christmas shopping daycare diary is now open ❤️

We know have only one space available for the 5th & 6th of December as of this morning 🤩

Reminder once the spaces are gone they’re gone, I will have a cancellation list but please note you may end up getting as little as 24 hrs notice.

Now that’s enough about the fat man in red 🎅🏻

Last weeks crew - carrot man, little custard, baby jigsaw, mr bugalugs, wee man, mr & Mrs sweet, the big lad, her ladyship, mr long legs, the floof sisters, baby hippos, mr care bear, miss diamond, baby Cadbury and mr chuppa chop 🥰

🐾 THE BARKING INN IS OFFICIALLY FULL! 🐾

Well… you lovely lot have done it! 😂💗

Thanks to your incredible support, recommendations, shares and generally telling everyone with four paws about me, The Barking Inn is now completely FULL! 🐶🐾

After this weekend’s final Meet & Greets, I’ll be welcoming the last few new members of the gang — and then I’m officially hanging up the “spaces available” sign until the New Year! 🎉

As much as I genuinely appreciate everyone who recommends me (and please keep doing so when spaces reopen! ❤️), I just wanted to pop a little reminder out there that I currently have no availability to take on any more dogs.

That means no new regular walks, ad-hoc/occasional walks, daycare OR boarding bookings at the moment. 🐕🏡💤 My available daycare and boarding days/dates have already been reserved by my existing and as of this weekend new, The Barking Inn families, so unfortunately I’m unable to squeeze in any additional bookings there either.

This weekend will also be my last weekend of Meet & Greets until January 2027. 🐾

I never want to overcrowd the gang, overfill the diary or compromise the time, care and attention I give to each of my dogs. So for now…

The paws are full, the beds are booked, the diary is bursting and The Barking Inn has officially reached MAXIMUM WAG CAPACITY! 😂🐾❤️

A HUGE thank you to every single person who supports my little business, trusts me with their four-legged family members and recommends me to friends and family. Every recommendation means so much — even if, for the time being, I have to say “thank you… but we’re full!” 😂💗

Here’s to plenty more muddy paws, waggy tails, woodland adventures, sleepovers and Barking Inn chaos with my wonderful existing gang! 🐶🌳🐾

Still a lot to do in terms of the tidy up and organising but absolutely over the moon with the patio and the dogs love it as well ❤️

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Absolutely over the moon with our new patio from Acer Landscapes! From start to finish, they’ve been brilliant and have gone out of their way to accommodate us as much as possible.

They managed to get the patio completed for us as quickly as they could, while also being really flexible and working around me and the dogs at daycare, which we really appreciated.

Nothing has been too much trouble, and we’re so pleased with how it’s all turned out. The finished patio looks fantastic and has completely transformed the space.

Would definitely recommend Acer Landscapes to anyone looking to have work done. Thank you again for all your hard work! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Acer Landscapes

🎄🐾 YES… I KNOW, I’M GETTING AHEAD OF MYSELF! 🐾🎄

We haven’t even made it to October yet and here I am talking about CHRISTMAS! 😂🎅🏼

But we all know how quickly it comes around… one minute you’re enjoying autumn, the next you’re panic-buying presents, fighting over the last roll of wrapping paper and wondering why you left everything until December! 🤣🎁

So, in the spirit of being super organised for once, here are our Christmas plans at The Barking Inn ❤️🐶

🎁 CHRISTMAS SHOPPING DAYCARE 🎁

I’ll be opening up some Saturday & Sunday daycare dates in November and December, giving you lovely lot the chance to get your Christmas shopping done, attend appointments, wrap presents without a furry “helper” sitting on the paper… or simply enjoy a few peaceful hours! 😂🐾

These spaces are for regular clients only and dogs must already have a history of attending daycare or boarding with myself.

📔 The Christmas diary will officially open on Monday 5th October.

Please, please DO NOT try to book before then — any early booking messages will be ignored! 😂👀
I know what some of you are like… “Well, I thought I’d just get in there early, Jess!” 🤣

Spaces will be limited, so once the diary opens it will be first come, first served. ❤️

🎄 CHRISTMAS CLOSURE 🎄

I’ll also be taking some much-needed time off over Christmas so that myself and the home team can properly switch off, recharge our batteries and spend some quality time together. ❤️

Message responses will therefore be very limited over the Christmas break until 3rd January.

On the 3rd January, I’ll be spending the day working through enquiries, replying to messages and checking in for any updates from my regulars ready for us getting back into the swing of things. 🐾📱

Thank you, as always, for keeping me so busy and for supporting The Barking Inn throughout the year. It genuinely means so much. ❤️

👑🐾 HER LADYSHIP: THE POST-OP UPDATE 🐾👑

Well… she’s surprised me! 😂

After all my worrying, fretting and imagining every possible scenario, Her Ladyship appears to be wondering what on earth all the fuss was about.

Post-op meds? Takes them like a dream. 💊
Rest and recuperation? Turns out she was BORN for it. 👑🛏️
Being waited on hand and paw? Obviously no adjustment required whatsoever.

She has taken to convalescence like the Queen she is, although please don’t mistake “resting” for “relinquishing control”. She is still perfectly capable of bossing the entire household around from the comfort of her bed. 😂 Apparently surgery is no excuse for standards to slip.

And while she may look like a delicate little flower 🌸, she has now firmly established that underneath all that prettiness, Her Ladyship is as tough as old boots. 💪🐾

Honestly, I think I’ve suffered more than she has! 🤣

A huge thank you to everyone who has sent messages, well wishes and kept our girl in their thoughts. It really has meant such a lot to us. ❤️

And finally, the biggest thank you to the wonderful team at Bishopton Veterinary Group, Northallerton, and in particular our vet of nearly 20 years, Richard Shaw, and vet nurse Cara.

The care you gave Her Ladyship was outstanding, but I’m equally grateful for the care you gave her slightly less composed human! 😂 Thank you for answering my worries, reassuring me through all my fears and looking after our precious girl so beautifully. Knowing she was in such kind and capable hands made an anxious day so much easier. ❤️

So, Her Ladyship is home, comfortable, medicated, being waited upon and continuing to rule her kingdom from her bed.

In other words… normal service has resumed. 👑😂❤️🐾

Please can all owners take note of the updated payment information in the post below.

Introducing a late payment charge is not something I have wanted to do, and I completely understand that occasionally things can be forgotten or overlooked. However, unfortunately, due to a recent string of late payments, I have been left with little choice but to introduce a £10 late payment administration charge.

The Barking Inn is my business and my only source of income, so receiving payments on time is really important. I also simply don’t have the time to repeatedly chase outstanding invoices and send payment reminders alongside caring for all of your lovely dogs and horses. 🐶🐴❤️

Invoices will be sent out today, Wednesday 30th September from 18:00pm onwards, and payment must be received by Friday 2nd October by 18:00pm.

Any invoices that remain unpaid after this date will have a £10 administration charge added to October’s bill.

I really do appreciate everyone’s understanding and cooperation, and as always, I’m incredibly grateful for your continued support of The Barking Inn. 💕🐾
