Thank you for your interest in our upcoming 4-Week Recall Workshop.
Our first group is now fully reserved, subject to registration and payment, and we already have a waiting list.
As I keep my workshops intentionally small, with a maximum of 4 dogs per group, I am pleased to offer a second group if there is sufficient interest.

Our Recall Workshop is designed to help you build a stronger, more reliable recall using positive, reward-based training.

Over the four weeks we'll work on:

🐾 Engagement and focus
🐾 Building a strong recall cue
🐾 Finding what really motivates your dog
🐾 Long-line skills
🐾 Recall with movement
🐾 Recall around distractions
🐾 Emergency recall
🐾 The 3Ds – distance, duration & distraction
🐾 Practical games to make recall fun and rewarding

You'll also receive weekly handouts with exercises to practise between sessions.

💚 SMALL GROUP – MAXIMUM 4 DOGS

Keeping the group small means I can give each dog and handler plenty of individual attention, support and coaching throughout the four weeks.

🐶 Please note: As this is a small group workshop, dogs attending need to be comfortable working around other dogs.

We’ve had a little break from our Recall Workshops recently — it’s simply been too hot to safely train outdoors. ☀️🐶

We’re now looking to start our next 4-week Recall Workshop in mid-September, when hopefully we’ll be back to some more normal temperatures! 🤞🍂

Our workshops are all about helping you build a stronger, more reliable recall through positive, reward-based training — while keeping training fun for both you and your dog.

🌿 Sometimes the Best Training Looks Like Doing Nothing 🌿

One of my favourite training exercises doesn't involve asking for a single cue.

Instead, we simply sit together and watch the world go by.

By giving your dog the opportunity to observe people, dogs and everyday life from a comfortable distance, they can take everything in without feeling overwhelmed. They learn that not everything needs a reaction, and that calm behaviour is rewarding in itself.

I use this regularly during my training sessions because it helps to:
🐾 Build confidence
🐾 Reduce overexcitement and frustration
🐾 Encourage calm decision-making
🐾 Strengthen your dog's ability to focus around distractions
🐾 Build your bond as your dog learns that you're a safe, reassuring presence

Training isn't always about asking your dog to do something.

Sometimes the biggest lesson we can teach is that it's perfectly okay to slow down, relax, and simply watch the world together.

Those quiet moments often become the foundation for everything else. 💚

Today on our walk we worked on impulse control – helping Shadow learn to pause, think, and make good choices instead of reacting straight away. These skills build focus, self-control, and help dogs cope better with the exciting things they encounter out in the real world.

Shadow worked so hard today, so a well-deserved swim was definitely in order! 💦🐾

Training, fun, and meeting your dog's needs – that's what it's all about. 💚
