A little update as been a fair few weeks since I last done one a lot has happened we have welcomed a new bundle of dogs the lovely
Cleo who I did a stay with whilst her parents were away she is a rescue from dogs trust which they have done amazing with
The lovely chase who is quite a nervous boy but has really come out his shell with me done a stay with him and now he is one of my regulars who I walk 2x a week.
We had the lovely Maggie and cooper stay with me for 2 weeks whilst there parents when away which were and always are a joy to have but they do like to keep me and my lovely dog fit 😂
We had the lovely copper back for daily walks and sits whilst his owners were away what a lovely boy he is started doing some disengagement training with him as he can be a bit reactive to dogs so getting him to look away from them ans engage with me he is doing really well with that.
We also welcomed the lovely milo the lab to the gang he is such a lovely sweet boy he is with me 3x a week for an hr walk. His favourite thing is the ball but I also do some obedience training with him which he really enjoys and does so well with.
We welcomed the Cane corso yogi who once you get to know him is the sweetest boy we are still working with that with me as I’m new to him but with the help of his lovely previous dog walker we have made progress using:
Relationship building training
Obedience training (getting his brain thinking and focusing on something else)
Drawing him in then throwing him out (using high reward treats)
He is also dog reactive so we have done some disengagement training and self regulating training to get him to calm down and remove him self from that situation by himself which he does do pretty well but sometimes does need encouragement.
All my regulars : river and Ryder, Ozzie , Ralph , Bella and Lucy have all had there walks and sits as well.
