One thing we absolutely love seeing at Rootophia is a group of dogs happily snoozing together 🥹❤️
And there’s actually science behind why we encourage it!
Dogs need rest to process their experiences, recover from excitement and regulate their emotions. Just like us, when they’re overtired, they can become frustrated, overstimulated and less tolerant.
But there’s something else we think is really important…
Socialisation isn’t just about playing!
Learning to relax around other dogs, without feeling the need to constantly interact, is such a valuable skill.
When dogs feel comfortable enough to settle around their friends, it can be a lovely sign that they’re feeling safe and relaxed in their environment.
That’s why at Rootophia we don’t believe in non-stop play from morning until evening.
We encourage a healthy balance of play, enrichment, social interaction and plenty of downtime, always making sure each dog has somewhere comfortable and safe to rest.
Some dogs love snoozing alongside their friends, while others prefer their own quiet space. And that’s absolutely fine!
Because a good daycare isn’t about keeping dogs constantly entertained. It’s about understanding what they actually need. 💚🐾
Happy dogs aren’t always the ones running around. Sometimes they’re the ones fast asleep! 💤
