Looking for something more exciting than an ordinary dog walk, or someone trustworthy to care for your smaller pets while you’re away? Rootophia Pet Services has you covered! 🧡

🌳 ADVENTURE PLAYS — £18 PER SESSION

Our Adventure Plays give dogs the opportunity to run, explore, socialise and enjoy plenty of enrichment in a secure private field.

🐶 Carefully matched social groups
🚐 Pick-up and drop-off included
🌿 One full hour of secure-field fun
⏰ Dogs are usually out with us for approximately 2–3 hours, including travelling and collections
🎾 Toys, agility equipment and enrichment activities
👃 Plenty of sniffing, exploring and confidence-building
💦 Paddling pools and water play when the weather allows
🌅 Morning and afternoon sessions Monday–Friday

🐾💦 OUR SWIMMING POOL REOPENS TOMORROW! 💦🐾

We’re delighted to say that Swim Rootophia is completely back up and running from tomorrow! The pool has received a thorough deep clean and is now fresh, tested and ready to welcome all your dogs back for a splash! 🐶🏊

Keeping our pool clean and properly maintained is incredibly important to us. However, it is a busy dog pool, and during periods of heavy use, natural oils, loose hair, skin and dirt from lots of swimming dogs can sometimes cause the water to look slightly discoloured or less clear.

The appearance of the water doesn’t necessarily mean it is unsafe. We regularly test and monitor our water, and the pool only opens when all readings are within the correct safe operating ranges. If those levels are ever outside that range, we close the pool until everything is completely safe again.

Thank you so much for your patience while we completed this important work. The pool is sparkling, freshly cleaned and waiting for all its four-legged swimmers! 💙🐾

🐾🧡 STORY TIME — MEET NEWTON 🇺🇦➡️🇬🇧 🧡🐾

Some dogs come through our doors and leave a little paw print on our hearts… Newton was definitely one of them. 🥹

Newton is a beautiful rescue dog who originally came from Ukraine and, just a few weeks ago, was given a fresh start here in the UK with his lovely new owner. 🇺🇦❤️🇬🇧

When his owner contacted us, she was completely open about Newton’s past and his worries. He was a lovely boy, but understandably very nervous about being touched, particularly around his legs, back and tummy. He desperately needed a bath, de-shed and some of his coat sorting, but more importantly, he needed someone willing to listen to him and go at his pace.

And this was going to be his FIRST EVER GROOM. 🥹🐶

So when Newton arrived at Rootophia Groom, our goal wasn’t to achieve the “perfect full groom”.

Our goal was to make sure Newton felt safe. ❤️

Millie, our groomer, and I spent time getting to know him, allowing him to investigate his surroundings and introducing everything slowly, gently and with absolutely no pressure.

There were moments when Newton told us he’d had enough — and we listened.

There were also little moments where he surprised us and allowed us to do more than we initially thought he might. 🥹

We didn’t manage a complete groom on his first visit, and that is absolutely okay. In fact, for Newton, what he achieved was far more important than leaving perfectly groomed.

✨ He experienced his first grooming environment
✨ He allowed us to begin working with his coat
✨ He had a gentle de-shed
✨ We carefully removed some matting where he was comfortable
✨ And, most importantly, he began learning that grooming and being handled doesn’t have to be frightening.

By the end, Newton was looking refreshed, handsome and incredibly proud of himself. 🥰

Just look at how far this gorgeous boy came in ONE visit. ❤️

For dogs like Newton, it’s about little introductions, positive experiences and building trust visit by visit. We would much rather stop while a dog is coping well and welcome them back another day than push them beyond what they can comfortably manage.

Newton absolutely melted our hearts. 🥹🐾

Considering everything this beautiful boy has experienced — travelling from Ukraine, being rescued, moving to a completely new home and now learning to trust new people — we think he did amazingly.

And he now has a wonderful owner giving him the patience, love and fresh start he deserves. ❤️

Well done, Newton. Your first groom might not have been a full groom… but it was a HUGE first step. 🐶🧡

We cannot wait to see his confidence grow each time he comes back to see us.

Our Puppy Pop-In Service is perfect for little pups who aren’t quite ready to be left for long periods yet. 🐶💕
