✨🐶 Say hello to Marley! ✨

This little heartbreaker joined us at DDC today and honestly… how can anyone resist that face? 😍 He might still be a puppy, but don’t be fooled – Marley has confidence for days and the sweetest spirit to match.

On our walk, he had everyone turning heads. Strangers couldn’t help but stop and smile, and he even made friends with dogs of all shapes and sizes. Nothing phases this boy – he knows no fear and lives for playtime. 💙🐾

We’re completely smitten and feel so lucky to be part of his puppy journey. Watch this space because Marley is going to grow into one very special gentleman. ✨

🐾✨ Meet Sonny – our handsome returning customer who never fails to strike a pose! 📸 Every walk with him is pure joy, and honestly, I can’t help but smile when his owners message me asking, “Can you walk him?” 💌

Sonny has this amazing way of making every outing fun – he’s full of character, charm, and just knows how to work the camera. Honestly, he makes my job so easy and so enjoyable!

A huge thank you to his wonderful owners for trusting me time and time again with their boy – it’s always a pleasure. 💛

With DDC, it’s not just about walks, it’s about building bonds, and Sonny is the perfect example of that. 🐶✨

✨🐾 Meet today’s little squad of cuties – Gizmo, Millie, Jessie & Chicken! 🐾✨

Gizmo the sleek black panther (okay… cat 😉) stole the spotlight outside with his model poses. Millie preferred the comfier life, stretching out on the sofa like the queen she is 👑💤. Jessie, our gorgeous girl, isn’t feeling 100% at the moment but still welcomed me into her home with the biggest heart 💕🐶. And then there’s Chicken – the cheeky ginger cat who definitely adds some extra spice and fun to the gang 🧡🐱.

Every visit is different, but one thing never changes – I get to spend time with the most amazing furry friends 🐾✨

At DDC, we treat every pet like family – whether they’re zooming around the garden, curled up for cuddles, or just soaking up the sunshine. 🌞💛

🐾 Welcome back, Sonny! 🐾

Looking after this boy is always a pleasure — it’s like spending time with your best friend. 💛 Sonny is such a delight to have around. With his good manners and gentle nature, he turned heads everywhere we went.

We enjoyed some lovely sunny walks together, and this time I even brought him along to a meet-and-greet because I have so much trust in him. He didn’t disappoint — he was calm, friendly, and made a fantastic impression on everyone he met. 🌟

We also had some fun training time! We worked on a bit of heel work, which he handled brilliantly, and even tried some scent training — he absolutely loved it and got so engaged in the game. It was wonderful to see him enjoying himself and using his natural instincts. 🐶

From outdoor adventures to quiet naps, Sonny brings joy and warmth to every moment. Until next time, buddy — you’re always welcome here. 🐾✨

Meet Ethel – Our Most Senior Guest Yet! 🐾

At DDC, we believe every dog deserves care that suits their personality and pace — and Ethel showed us exactly what that means.

Ethel, the most senior dog we’ve had the pleasure of looking after, made it very clear that she’s more of a “sofa snoozer” than a “country rambler.” While other pups were off exploring, she was perfectly content snuggled into her favourite spot, keeping a watchful eye on the world (and occasionally the treat jar).

And you know what? That was perfectly fine with us. 🛋️💕 Our job is to make every dog feel comfortable, happy, and loved — whether that’s on a muddy trail or curled up on a cushion.

Thank you, Ethel, for reminding us that sometimes the best walks are the ones from the sofa to the food bowl.

Bonnie – Our Northern Star 🌟

I had the absolute pleasure of house sitting for Bonnie, the gorgeous white German Shepherd, during her stay in her temporary home down from Manchester. True to her breed, she greeted me with a bark—“bark first, ask questions later”—but within moments, we were best friends. From then on, she never left my side.

Bonnie was an absolute delight to care for: calm, affectionate, and clearly very well trained. It wasn’t just me who noticed—people we passed on our walk could tell she’s something special. She settled in beautifully and made the whole day a joy.

We’re already hoping she’ll be back down this way soon, because we’d love to have her again! This isn’t the first time we’ve looked after someone from up north, and we’re always happy to support anyone who needs care and company while they’re away from home.

🌟 Look who’s back for the day – it’s Lily! 🌟

She’s become such a regular at this point, and we honestly couldn’t be happier! Lily always brings the best vibes to DDC – whether it’s with her happy energy, cuddles, or that ever-wagging tail, she lights up the place and puts a smile on everyone’s face 🐶💛

We love you, Lily – it’s always a joy having you with us!

Just wrapped up a wonderful house sit looking after 3 lovely dogs, 4 sweet cats, and 2 beautiful ponies 🐶🐱🐴

This was my first time caring for ponies, and honestly, the experience was amazing. It was something completely new to me, but I really enjoyed every bit of it and learned so much along the way.

The sit itself was fantastic – the owners were incredibly kind and welcoming, and their home was absolutely lovely. It made the whole experience feel like a peaceful retreat.

We had some great off-lead field walks with the dogs, letting them stretch their legs and enjoy some freedom. And even when the weather didn’t play along, we made the most of our time just relaxing at home with the animals.

It’s moments like these that remind me why I love what I do. At DDC, it’s always about making sure the animals are happy, loved, and relaxed – and this sit was exactly that.

A huge thank you to the owners for trusting me with their wonderful home and animals – it was a real pleasure. We’re already looking forward to returning next week! 💚

Meet & Greet… with a surprise twist! 🐾

Today we were out doing a meet and greet with little Marley 💙 – but the universe had other plans! On our walk, we bumped into a Rottweiler puppy who instantly hit it off with Marley. Within seconds they were best buds, playing like they’d known each other for years 🐶❤️🐶

This is exactly what we LOVE to see at DDC – confident, happy pups making positive connections and building friendships from the get-go. Socialisation like this is such an important part of what we do.

We can’t wait for Marley to officially join the pack – he’s already off to a perfect start! 🌟

Welcome Back, Loki! 🐾

We were absolutely thrilled to welcome Loki the black Labrador back for his third stay with us! 🖤 He’s such a sweetheart who insists on saying hello to absolutely everyone — human or hound. Social butterfly doesn’t even cover it! 😄

And that’s not all — we had a special guest join us today! A big shoutout to EB Dog Walking & Services who came along with the lovely Mabel and Haribo for some tail-wagging fun. 🐶🐕‍🦺🐾

It’s always a joy when dogs and local businesses come together for a bit of exercise and plenty of smiles.

Olí is such a loving and chilled boy—looking after him is always a pleasure. I’ve looked after him before and every time it’s just so easy. He’s affectionate, calm, and knows exactly how to win your heart (and the best spot on the sofa!). 💛
