Looking for friendly, supportive and reward-based dog training in Charing, Ashford 🌿

My next Puppy and Teens Classes are starting on Saturday 19th September at our outdoor training field in Stalisfield.

🐶 PUPPY CLASS
Perfect for giving your puppy the best start and building strong foundations for life.

We’ll cover confidence & socialisation, engagement, recall, lead walking, settling, essential life skills and more.

🐕 TEENS CLASS
For adolescent dogs aged 7 months–2 years, helping you navigate the teenage stage and build reliable real-life skills around distractions.

We’ll work on engagement, confidence, recall, lead walking, play, calmness and essential life skills.

Give your puppy the best start with our fun, friendly and supportive 6-week Puppy Class 🌿

Those early months are such an important time for building confidence, learning new skills and helping your puppy navigate the world around them. Our classes focus on creating strong foundations for everyday life — while making training enjoyable for both you and your puppy!

We’ll cover:
🐶 Socialisation & confidence building
🐶 Essential life skills
🐶 Recall & lead walking foundations
🐶 Engagement and focus
🐶 Settling and calmness
🐶 Understanding and meeting your puppy’s needs

You’ll also get tutorial videos for the exercises taught in class, so you can continue practising confidently at home.

Is your puppy suddenly becoming a teenager? 👀 Selective hearing, pulling on the lead, getting over-excited around other dogs or finding it harder to focus?

Our 6-week Teens Class is designed to help you navigate adolescence and build practical skills you can use in everyday life. 💚

We’ll work on:
🐶 Engagement & focus around distractions
🐶 Recall & lead walking
🐶 Calmness and self-control
🐶 Confidence building
🐶 Play and meeting your dog’s individual needs
🐶 Essential real-life skills

Classes are small, supportive and reward-based, giving you plenty of opportunity to practise around other dogs in a controlled environment.

A milestone I’m really proud to share. 💚

I’m officially able to practise as an Associate Clinical Animal Behaviourist after successfully passing my Assessment of Knowledge and Experience with the ABTC.

After completing the Animal Behaviour Technician (ABT) pathway, the assessors felt my knowledge and experience met the capabilities expected at the Clinical Animal Behaviourist level, so I went back through the APEL process to be assessed against the CAB standards.

It’s been a lot of work behind the scenes. Many evenings and weekends have gone into studying, writing reflective accounts, gathering evidence and continually developing my knowledge and clinical practice. It’s challenged me in all the right ways and has made me a better practitioner because of it.

A huge thank you to all of my clients for trusting me with your dogs, and to my colleagues, friends and family for all of your encouragement and support throughout the process. I’m incredibly grateful.

I’m not at the finish line just yet, my practical assessment is still to come later this year, but this is a massive milestone and one I’m really proud of.

I’m excited to keep growing, learning and providing the best possible support for dogs and the people who love them.

The sweetest first session with little Ottilie 🐾🤍

Rather than jumping straight into obedience training, our focus was on the foundations that really matter during those first few weeks at home.

Together we worked on:
✨ Building connection and trust
✨ Helping Ottilie feel safe and secure in her new home
✨ Meeting her fulfilment needs through appropriate play and enrichment
✨ Creating a positive association with her crate so it becomes her safe space
✨ Setting up a consistent toilet training routine to give her the best start

These early foundations make such a difference. When puppies feel safe, understood and supported, learning becomes so much easier.

A 1-2-1 puppy session before starting puppy classes is a fantastic way to set both you and your puppy up for success from the very beginning. It gives you a personalised plan, answers all of those new puppy questions, and helps you avoid common challenges before they become habits.

I can’t wait to see Ottilie continue to grow in confidence over the coming weeks. 💚

🐾 Puppy Class update - new start date! 🐾

Due to the heatwave, we’ve made the decision to postpone our next Puppy Class by 1 week to keep the puppies safe, cool and comfortable.

The course will now start on Friday 3rd July, 6pm–6:45pm at Charing Parish Hall.

This 6 week course is designed to help you and your puppy build the foundations for everyday life, with practical, reward-based training in a fun and supportive class environment.

Perfect for building:
✨ Confidence and socialisation
✨ Essential life skills
✨ Focus and engagement
✨ A strong foundation for real life
✨ Confidence for both puppy and owner

You’ll also receive tutorial videos for the exercises taught in class, so you can keep practising at home between sessions.

🎓🐾 May Puppy Class Graduates 🐾🎓

A huge well done to our lovely May puppy class graduates!

Over the last 6 weeks, these puppies and their humans have been building brilliant foundations for real life, from focus around distractions and confidence building, to recall, loose lead walking, settling, handling and learning how to make good choices.

Puppy class is never about having the “perfect” puppy. It’s about helping them grow into confident, resilient young dogs and giving their owners the skills to support them through puppyhood and beyond.

It has been so lovely watching both of these puppies grow in confidence every week. Well done! you should be so proud of your progress 💚

🎓 May Teens Class complete! 🐾

A huge well done to these brilliant adolescent dogs and their owners for finishing their teens course.

Adolescence can be a challenging stage, with dogs often finding the world more exciting, distracting or overwhelming. This class has been all about building practical, real-life skills that help dogs and their owners navigate everyday situations with more confidence.

Over the 6 weeks, these teams have worked on focus around distractions, recall, loose lead walking, play and fulfilment, confidence building, and supporting their dogs to make better choices when the world feels busy or exciting.

It has been lovely watching everyone grow in confidence and learn how to support their dogs through this stage with patience, consistency and understanding.

Well done everyone, adolescence isn’t always easy, but you’ve all done such a great job 🌿🐶
