🐾 Teenage dog? Our next Teens Class starts 7th November!

Adolescence can be a challenging time for both dogs and their owners! As your puppy grows, you might notice their recall becoming a little less reliable, more distractions on walks or some new behaviours appearing.

Our 6-week Teens Class is designed to help you navigate this stage while building confidence, communication and practical skills together.

We’ll be working on:
🐶 Building engagement and focus around distractions
🐶 Strengthening recall and lead walking
🐶 Developing confidence and essential life skills
🐶 Using play and reward-based training to make learning fun!

Now, this isn’t every walk, and it didn’t happen overnight.

Loose lead walking is a skill, and like any skill, it takes consistency and practice.

My priority is always plenty of off-lead exploring, gundog games, hunting, retrieving and activities that allow Olive to just be a spaniel. Those things are a huge part of our walks and help us build communication and work together.

But we’ve also put the time into practising lead walking.

And when it starts to click… we can start our morning walk, coffee in one hand and lead in the other ☕️🤎

A huge well done to our latest group of puppy class graduates! 💛

It’s been so lovely watching these pups grow in confidence and seeing their skills develop over the last six weeks.

We’ve worked on lots of important foundations for everyday life, while keeping training fun and helping owners build a great relationship with their pups.

Give your puppy the best start with our 6-week puppy training course, designed to help you build confidence, essential life skills and a strong relationship with your pup from the very beginning. 💚

Classes are fun, friendly and reward-based, with small class sizes so you and your puppy get plenty of support. You’ll also receive tutorial videos for the exercises taught in class, so you can keep practising at home.

Those early months are such an important time for building confidence, learning new skills and helping your puppy navigate the world around them. Our classes focus on creating strong foundations for everyday life — while making training enjoyable for both you and your puppy!

We’ll cover:

A milestone I’m really proud to share. 💚

I’m officially able to practise as an Associate Clinical Animal Behaviourist after successfully passing my Assessment of Knowledge and Experience with the ABTC.

After completing the Animal Behaviour Technician (ABT) pathway, the assessors felt my knowledge and experience met the capabilities expected at the Clinical Animal Behaviourist level, so I went back through the APEL process to be assessed against the CAB standards.

It’s been a lot of work behind the scenes. Many evenings and weekends have gone into studying, writing reflective accounts, gathering evidence and continually developing my knowledge and clinical practice. It’s challenged me in all the right ways and has made me a better practitioner because of it.

A huge thank you to all of my clients for trusting me with your dogs, and to my colleagues, friends and family for all of your encouragement and support throughout the process. I’m incredibly grateful.

I’m not at the finish line just yet, my practical assessment is still to come later this year, but this is a massive milestone and one I’m really proud of.

I’m excited to keep growing, learning and providing the best possible support for dogs and the people who love them.

The sweetest first session with little Ottilie 🐾🤍

Rather than jumping straight into obedience training, our focus was on the foundations that really matter during those first few weeks at home.

Together we worked on:
✨ Building connection and trust
✨ Helping Ottilie feel safe and secure in her new home
✨ Meeting her fulfilment needs through appropriate play and enrichment
✨ Creating a positive association with her crate so it becomes her safe space
✨ Setting up a consistent toilet training routine to give her the best start

These early foundations make such a difference. When puppies feel safe, understood and supported, learning becomes so much easier.

A 1-2-1 puppy session before starting puppy classes is a fantastic way to set both you and your puppy up for success from the very beginning. It gives you a personalised plan, answers all of those new puppy questions, and helps you avoid common challenges before they become habits.

I can’t wait to see Ottilie continue to grow in confidence over the coming weeks. 💚
