Nuri and Meeko have an important message.
Now that the weather is getting colder please bring a coat for your dog to wear after hydrotherapy.
Although we try our best to dry the dogs after treatments they will still be a bit damp. It is important to keep your dog warm and dry after hydrotherapy to avoid muscle soreness.

Today Charlene, Julie and Alan took the morning off to learn more about hoopers.
This is a great low impact activity for dogs that still want to be active and using their brains.

Another one of our newbies.
Jessie is a Sealyham terrier. We don’t see many of them as they are officially a vulnerable national breed.
As well as swimming her other talents include scent work and working as a qualified pets as therapy dog.

Did you know that as well as rehabilitation we offer learn to swim sessions? These allow the dog to be introduced to water in a safe controlled way.
Learn to swim sessions are suitable for both puppies and adult dogs.
We do not rush the dogs as we want to build their confidence.

Monday Milo update number 7.
He started some hydrotherapy in the pool so that he could move his legs without having to weight bear.
Judging by his face he preferred relaxing on the lilo. Obviously the lilo does not count as hydrotherapy and is not something we offer. We used it for Milo as a form of enrichment.
