Huge thanks to local friend of Broadlands, Lucy Hunter, for her very generous donation of 4 round bales of hay, worth approx £260.
These were expertly lifted onto the trailers by Edward - good job Edward!
With Broadlands closed all week, which has hit us hard financially, generous people like Lucy are a real pick me up!

The team have been working incredibly hard to keep our ponies as cool and comfortable as possible during the warm weather. 🌞🐴

Here’s just some of what we’ve been doing:
💦 Hosing them down regularly to help them cool off.
🌳 Bringing them in from the fields during the hottest part of the day.
🌿 Making sure they have plenty of shade and fresh water at all times.
🌅 Plaiting up long manes to allow body heat to escape.
🍎 Keeping a close eye on every pony to make sure they’re happy, hydrated and comfortable.

The welfare of our ponies always comes first, and we really appreciate everyone’s support and understanding while we do everything we can to help them through the heat. ❤️

🌟 School Spaces Available from September 🌟

Broadlands Equine Therapy & RDA has 4 spaces available for children and young people to attend from September, through a school or education provider.

Choose from:
🐴 Equine Assisted Learning
OR
🐎 Horse Riding Sessions

These sessions provide a supportive environment to build confidence, develop life skills, improve wellbeing, and have fun with our wonderful horses.

💷 £35 per person, per session

Shout out to our farrier Martin, who started at the stables at 5:30am this morning to make sure all the ponies were shod and trimmed before the heat became unbearable! ☀️🐴

We kept him stocked up with iced drinks and ice creams throughout the morning, and thanks to his hard work, he had everything finished by 11am.

WOOO! 👏👏 Thank you, Martin!
