📦Could you help us refill on cardboard boxes?📦

🐾We use cardboard boxes (big and small) everyday to enrich the lives of the animals in our care. With fireworks already starting to go off, our dogs are finding kennel life a little bit more stressful than normal! Shredding boxes helps them relive some stress and begin to self soothe🐾

🫶🏻If anyone is passing by the centre, please feel free to drop off some cardboard boxes!🫶🏻

💙We are also getting very low on treats (we haven’t told the dogs yet🫣), if anyone would like to donate dog treats, they can be dropped off at the centre. Alternatively, you can gift us some treats directly off of our Amazon Wishlist, here -

🐶 As it’s Adoptober this month we would like to share an update on the 4 spaniels our centre rehabilitated and rehomed from the 80 + spaniels found in terrible conditions in a house in Doncaster.

This is just a snippet from what one of the inspectors saw when entering the house 😞

“The kitchen was covered in dirt and faeces from floor to ceiling. The floor had at least 20 piles of faeces on it, which the dogs had distributed around the floor and over themselves. The dogs were cowering and huddling in a corner, or jumping on the kitchen sides near the window at the back of the room. They were very dirty, their fur covered in faeces, and many of their ears had lumps of dirt stuck to them, almost like dreadlocks.”

Rufus, Odin, Henry and Dylan came to our centre broken down and terrified of the world but their sweet nature and resilience shon through, as well as their love of tennis balls! All 4 dogs are now thriving in their homes and we are so happy to share them this Adoptober. 🥎

🐾💙 ADOPTOBER 💙🐾

October is Adoptober, the RSPCA’s celebration of rescue animals and the wonderful second chances they deserve.

Every rescue dog has their own story. Their own personality. Their own needs. And their own idea of what the perfect home looks like.

Take Beetle 🐾
Beetle came to us when his previous owner could no longer meet his needs.

This handsome 2-year-old Borsky is intelligent, energetic, vocal and full of personality. He needs an active, experienced home that understands his Husky traits, can provide plenty of enrichment and training, and is prepared to give him the time and patience he needs.

This Adoptober, why not take a look at the rescue dogs waiting for their second chance like Beetle ?

You might just find your perfect match. 💙

The wonderful photographs you see are by Helen from wags and woofs photography!

🎄 Christmas will soon be approaching and we are already thinking about our long stay animals, dogs that will be with us in kennels and on foster as well as our foster cats.🐈‍⬛

We like to make Christmas as special as we can for our centre animals and the support we receive each year from the community to make that possible is wonderful. It gives us all great joy to watch our animals open up their presents on Christmas Day and enjoy some new toys and treats during the Christmas period. 🎅

If you would like to take part this year then please bring your donations to our animal centre. 📦

If you would like to donate but you are not able to visit the centre you may like to send a gift via our Amazon wishlist linked below. 👇
