Little update on Bailey 🐾💙

He’s settled back in now. I let him sleep in the bed last night with his lampshade on, and he slept right through until he needed a p*e. 🥰

He’s doing fantastic, although he’s trying to play far too much! 🙈 So he’s only getting time out of his crate when he’s happy to stay calm. This wee man clearly doesn’t understand he needs to take it easy and heal. 😂💙 xx

When this wee man just wants a cuddle but his lampshade keeps getting in the way 💔 Mummy’s right here to help you get comfy, have a good sleep and feel safe beside me ❤️

Times like these take me right back to when I nearly lost my son at just 18 months old. I barely slept for over 10 days, holding him, watching him and making sure he kept going. That fear never really leaves you.

And I’ll be right here for you too, my four-legged boy. We’ll do everything we can to protect your repair and give it the best chance to heal. Through the restless nights, the worry and all the cuddles you need, Mummy’s here.

You’re so loved, my precious wee Bailey 🐾❤️ xx

Everybody knows Bailey loves a wee bit of windsurfing 😂💨 So while I had to nip in for a harness—because I hadn’t thought about the fact he can’t wear a collar, duh! 🤦‍♀️—he got to enjoy the wind with his wee head out the window.

He’s now happy to be back home, but he’s definitely not impressed with his new accessory or having to stay in the crate! 🙈❤️

I took it off for 10 minutes while we had a cuddle on the sofa, and he was delighted, giving me lots of kisses before settling down beside me. Nothing better than having my precious wee boy home 🥰

I’ve also included his before and after pictures so you can see just how much work he’s had done. His cleft went through both the hard palate and the soft palate at the back, which separate his mouth from his nasal passages.

To close the gap in the hard palate, the surgeon had to make cuts along each side so the tissue could be brought together and stitched. Those cuts have left open areas at the sides that now need time to heal ❤️

It’s been a big operation for my wee boy, so I think I might knit him a new bed with a big comfy pillow so he can recover in style. Only the best for my wee menace 😂🐾 xx

Update on Bailey ❤️🐾

My wee boy is awake, eating and already being a menace trying to eat the bowl! 😂

His operation was very complicated and he lost a lot of blood, so it’s been a worrying time. But you all know my boy—he won’t sit still, even after all that! I’ve told them to give him something to help him sleep and get some rest lol 🙈

❤️ Update on Bailey ❤️

Sam called after speaking with the other specialists. It turns out Bailey’s cleft runs the full length of his palate, right into the soft palate at the back — it hasn’t joined together at all.

My precious baby boy is in theatre just now, and we’re hoping with everything we have for a good result 🤞❤️

Please keep our wee man in your thoughts. The waiting is horrible — I just want him back in my arms 🐾❤️ xx

Facebook gangster alert 🙄😂 Apparently I shouldn’t be “begging for money” for Bailey’s operation because of all this money I supposedly make breeding!

Clearly someone thinks I breed my girls like rabbits, when they’re actually my world. My girls will only ever have two litters each.

Anyone who follows my page or is part of my Balvaigwater family knows the love, time and money I put into my dogs and puppies. Maybe have a proper look before deciding you know it all.

I’m working hard making and selling things to raise funds for Bailey, alongside the kindness of people who want to help him. If you don’t want to support us, scroll past—but don’t pretend you know my life from the outside. xx

Update guys

Just had a call from Bailey’s surgeon. His operation wasn’t done today, but they’ve done his CT scan and found yet another hole at the back of his palate, as well as the one at the front and the hole at the back in the soft tissue.

Another specialist from down south is now helping Sam work out the best way to carry out his operation. ❤️

Let’s be honest, we all knew it wouldn’t be straightforward with Bailey—our wee man doesn’t like doing anything the easy way! 🙈😂 My precious baby boy, keeping everybody on their toes as always xx

Well, I’ve left our wee Bailey at the veterinary specialist ❤️ He may get his operation today, but an emergency has come in and needs to go first. If they can’t do it today, it’ll be tomorrow.

The total cost could be up to £6,000. It’s a lot of money, but we need to get this wee man sorted and give him the chance to enjoy being a puppy without all these problems.

It’s so hard leaving him, even knowing he’s in the right hands. Keep him in your thoughts, and thank you to everyone helping us raise funds for his operation—it means so much ❤️🐾 xx
