I’ve been wondering why dogs eat the soil… and I’ve found this 🌱🐾

Apparently our dogs aren’t ruining the garden… they’re conducting important scientific research.

Here’s what’s really going on:

• Soil contains trace minerals, so your dog may be enjoying a crunchy multivitamin (with notes of worm)
• To dogs, soil is basically a five-star scent buffet featuring fox perfume and decomposed leaf garnish
• Puppies believe everything is edible until proven otherwise
• Sometimes it’s boredom… aka redecorating your flowerbeds with enthusiasm
• And occasionally dogs snack on soil when their tummy feels a bit dramatic

Most of the time it’s normal curiosity… but if your dog is eating soil like it’s a Michelin-star dish, a vet check is always a good idea.

Friday fun fact 🌈🐾
Apparently dogs can see rainbows… sort of. Their world runs mostly on blues and yellows, so while they miss some colours, they still spot that magical arc in the sky. Harry clearly approved the view and the walk. Tongue out, weekend on.

Welcome Benji and Bohdi to Mary Pawpins! We had our first visit today, complete with a lovely walk around the block and I’ve already fallen head over heels for these two little charmers! 😍 I now officially believe in love at first sight 🤣🥰
Benji and Bohdi are Dachshunds small in size but bursting with personality! These little sausages are known for their loyalty, cleverness, and that iconic waddle that melts hearts wherever they go🐶🥰

I can’t wait for more walks and cuddles with these two!
