🎉 TODAY IS MY BIRTHDAY! 🎉

And this year, rather than asking for presents, I’m asking for something that would mean even more to me - help raising money for Hilbrae Rescue Kennels. 🐾❤️

Hilbrae do incredible work rescuing, rehabilitating and rehoming dogs in need, and I’d love to do something to help support them.

So, on Saturday 5th September, I’ll be taking on my 40K Steps at 40 challenge around Albrighton - aiming to walk 40,000 steps in one day! 😬🐾

I’ve now planned my route and I’ll be completing it in laps, which means you don’t have to commit to walking the whole 40K with me!

More Than Just a Logo!

A logo might be the first thing you notice about a business, but for me, it needed to mean something more.

When I created the new Lil Canine Crew logo, I wanted every element to reflect what matters to me - the dogs I care for, the community I work in, and the kind of service I want to provide.

The dog, the location pin and the lead each have their own meaning, and together they represent the values behind Lil Canine Crew.

The colours were chosen to create a calm, welcoming and professional feel - just like the experience I want every client and pet to have.

More than just a logo. A reflection of who I am and what Lil Canine Crew stands for. 🤍

Well… I wasn’t expecting this! 😬🥹🐾

Lil Canine Crew has been shortlisted for the Central England Prestige Awards 2026/27! 🏆

I have absolutely no idea what happens next 😂 but I’m pretty bloody proud to even be shortlisted.

Whether I win or not, being recognised alongside other independent businesses in the region is a lovely little reminder that all the hard work is worth it. 🧡

So for now… I’ll just enjoy being shortlisted! 🐾✨

Engagement over distance 🐾

Today was a bit of a milestone for Maisie. 💛

For the first time in over a year, she went off lead. We worked on her recall, which is already pretty good, but the biggest thing I wanted to focus on was keeping her engaged with me and what we were doing.

And that got me thinking about how much my own approach has changed since I first started dog walking.

I’ll be honest, when I first started, I thought it was all about getting the distance in. The further a dog could walk, the better.

But actually, it’s not about the distance.

It’s about the engagement.

That became even more obvious when I walked Luna on a longline. She stayed engaged with me for pretty much the whole time, checking in, responding to me and choosing to stay connected - without needing to always be by my side.

And that, to me, is far more valuable than simply covering miles.

Both girls did incredibly well today, and I couldn’t be prouder of them. 🥹🐾

It’s a lovely reminder that sometimes it’s not about asking our dogs to go further, it’s about helping them learn to stay connected while they explore. ❤️

I’ve been really excited to finally introduce you to the new face of Lil Canine Crew!🐾🧡

I’ve been working behind the scenes on a fresh new look for the business, and I’m so happy that I can finally share it with you!

As my business has grown, I wanted a brand that truly reflects who I am and everything Lil Canine Crew stands for. This new look feels modern, professional and timeless, while still capturing the friendly, personal approach that’s at the heart of everything I do.

While the branding may have changed, one thing hasn’t - it’s still just me behind the lead, providing the same reliable, caring service that your pets know and trust.

Whether it’s dog walking, pet sitting, drop-in visits or helping make your dog’s role in your wedding day extra special, I’m committed to giving every pet the love and care they deserve.

A BIG WELCOME TO CHESTER & BENTLEY!

Please join me in giving the biggest welcome to Chester, 9, and Bentley, 2, who will officially be joining the Lil Canine Crew in September! 🧡🐾

I had the absolute pleasure of meeting these two today and honestly… what a pair! 🥹❤️ I got SO much love, fuss and cuddles from them both, and they were just absolutely adorable.

They really are two amazing boys and I’m already looking forward to getting to know them properly and having them join the crew! 🐶🐶

3 WEEKS TO GO! 👣

Just 3 weeks until I take on 40,000 steps around Albrighton to celebrate turning 40 and raise money for Hilbrae Rescue Kennels. ❤️

Why did I choose Hilbrae Rescue Kennels?

When I decided to celebrate my 40th birthday by walking 40,000 steps, I knew I wanted to support a dog charity.

As the owner of Lil Canine Crew, it felt important to me that the money raised stayed close to home and helped dogs in our local area.

That’s why I chose Hilbrae Rescue Kennels. They work incredibly hard to care for and rehome dogs, giving them the chance to find loving families.

I’m proud to be supporting such an important local rescue, and every donation will help them continue the amazing work they do.
